Lucas had just asked Destiny to dance with him, breaking his friends' hearts. Riley and Maya knew that their new friend wouldn't betray them like that, they were not upset about that. It was the fact that Lucas had probably fallen head over heels for her when he was in a relationship with Riley.

Lucas was looking at Destiny, waiting for her answer with eyes full of hope. But she didn't return his feelings.

"I'm sorry, Lucas," she shook her head. "But I have a boyfriend." And turned around in time to see Riley in tears, walking away from them with Maya, who was holding her.

"He likes her," she was sobbing, Destiny could hear that. But she could do nothing. Talking to them could cause a conflict.

Like the last fool on Earth, Destiny ran out of the gym hall and when she made sure no one was following her, she stopped and let herself lean on the locker nearby, sliding her body down so she could sit. Because of her, Lucas and Riley were going to break up. What could she do?

"I told you they're no good," a voice spoke, interrupting Destiny's thoughts. She looked up to see Sarah, who had extended her hand to help her stand up. She gladly took her friend's hand, smiling at the sweet gesture and the two girls walked out of the school to sit in the nearby hangout spot, to spend time together until their curfew.

Sometimes a bad day could end well.
