Chapter 26

As Eris shrugged and walked back into the gym, she paused and gazed at the beautiful sight she beheld. Although she's already seen it many times, she couldn't help but sigh. From the big crystal chandeliers that hung from the ceiling, to the low pink lights that created a romantic atmosphere, the memories of her time has a senior in high school started to slowly come back to her. Spending time with her little circle of friends, and having them laugh at her Dorito dress seemed like pleasant times back then. Yet at the same time, the setting reminded her of Solaris.

Her once, perfect boyfriend that would never hurt in any way had devastated her to a point of short isolation from not only from her friends, but from her own brother as well. As she held herself while gazing at the familiar sight, she walked up to her brother who was standing by the other band mates near a desert table.

"Hey guys!" Eris said, putting a smile on her face and trying to enjoy herself. "Can you believe this place! It looks amazing!"

"Eh. Could be better." Sombra replied while taking a sip of fruit punch.

"Eh? Just 'eh'? Or are you just saying that because you don't have a date?"

"It's not that I didn't have a date or anything, it's just that if I did then there would be a bunch of angry adolescent teenagers possibly tearing my potential date to shreds...so probably not a smart thing to do."

"Wow Sombra! For once you're actually thinking smart! Good job buddy! You earn a cookie!" Eris said in her usual bubbly tone and grabbed a cookie from the table and handed it to him, causing Manic to chuckle a little and  Shadow to hide his smile while drinking his punch.

"Oh ha ha, very funny. You're not the one who had to face a bunch of flashy cameras and a whole ton of fangirls screaming at you to come to their prom as well!"

"Don't play that game with me bruh. It's the same thing with me and the fanboys."

"True though, but hey Eris! Do you know why the manager called all of us and was...screamin' through the phone?" Manic asked, having a bit of a confused look on his face as he waited for his answer.

"Seriously? I told him a million times about our...situation."

"Eris, he's being serious this time. If we don't go back to New York to work on our new album by tonight then-" Shadow began to say before Eris shushed him by placing a finger on his lips.

"Shh...guys, it's going to be fine. If he says to be back by tonight, then we will! No big deal!"

"That is if we can get pass the army of fans that waits outside this school." Manic added. "For real though, if I have to say one thing that I'm happy about, I'm happy that the manager sent a whole bunch of security guards around the school to stop the fans from barging through the doors."

At least that was a blessing! The fact that Crazy Chaos was still hanging around town, and attending PROM was something that usually does not happen. Getting a celebrity to be your date is one thing, but getting one of the members from Crazy Chaos to be your prom date is a whole different story! You'll have the occasional fans would be like, 'Aww! She's so lucky!' And then you'll have fans like, 'THAT SHOULD'VE BEEN ME!!!'.

"That's a blessing." Eris replied. "Hey, have you guys seen Fluttershy?"

"We thought she was with you." Shadow replied, some of his hair covering his right eye.

"Well she was, until she left me in the girls bathroom."

"I'm sure she's fine. Maybe she went to go look for her friends."

"Anyway!" Said Manic, his arms going around Sombra and Eris. "What the hell are we waiting for dudes? Permission to dance! Hell naw! It's our last night to be teenagers, so let's make it count!"
