HEATHER"Daddy, you know how I feel about this moving thing and all, I cant just leave DC, our memories, friends and specially this house." a little puppy eyes act could work * insert puppy eyes*
"Honey, you know this isnt just about me , this is also for your future I cant just allow my 16 years old daughter live on her own here in DC when her whole family is in New York." okay so maybe the puppy act didnt work! what else should I do? though my dad has a point who'd give me my allowance?
Well before my dad THE Eric Hills CEO of Hills Group of Company; which is like one of the most succesful ones in our state or EVEN maybe the country, care to continue answering ,well actually explaining why we had to move.
We heard a knock and so my dad permitted the person to come in and a guy around his late thirties came inside my dad's home office. So not to be disrespectful my dad welcomed him with a manly hug.
"Josh it has been long since we last saw each other, I'm glad you had time to stop by our house" Josh? sounds familiar, so me being kind, not pretending to be kind went up to them breaking whatever bromance they had!
"Really? you just arrived today? ohh? Anyways thats my daughter Heather!" pointing his arms ot me which means I had to be there beside my dad. " Heather is she the one you were talking about days ago?" what? when did they talk about me? how? and why? " Yes she is the one and only!"
" Yo look all grown up, you look just like your mom, gorgeous as ever, come here give Uncle Josh a hug!" uncle? hug? oh ok, so I took atleast 3 steps close then finally jumping into his arms. Actually I just realized I wasn short after all everyone just seemed to actually tall, I was just around 5'5 or 165 cm to be exact. Uncle Josh was around 5'10 and dad was 5'9.
So to break the awkward tension, I bid my goodbye and thinking of going to my room to pack all the things I am going to need for the move, dad said I didnt have to pack alot since there technically alot more things there in New York, after all those curiousity I actually realized I was getting hungry so I decided to go to the kitchen to get the food Cecil has prepared, she actually has been here ever since I was born so you could say she is like a mother to me now.
Our house is big I dont know if you could consider it as a mansion though, it had 4 bed and bath, 2 servants quarter, 3 guestrooms, 3 bathrooms, powder room, office, study room. I think for me a house doesnt need to be big or small to be considered a Home Sweet Home, you just had to make sure that the people living there are happy with each other's companion and that you had more good memories than bad moments to count your house your HOME! :)
"Hey Cec, I am really gonna miss this place, and I'm gonna miss you too just as I heard your not coming not until your son Vince graduate college." has a son she had before her husband died 17 years ago, actually my mom found her knocking by our car looking for a job to buy Vince some milk and infant things he'll be needing. So my mom gave her a job and she started living with us since then, Speaking of mom let us not talk about her.
"Yes dear, its ok I'm gonna call anytime I can and did you hear that something good awaits for you in new york?" good? dad didnt mention anything, maybe that's because I was just really against this moving to new york thing that my dad didnt bother to tell me, " Oh really that's good to hear, anyways Cec I have to go to my room now I have to start packing I just knew our flight is tomorrow afernoon"
I went to my room, I am really gonna miss this place my room wasnt really that big I had a Blue Queen Sized bed just infront of the door, a black night stand beside my bed, blue door to my closet and some unnecessary things. This house just had too many memories to forget. Just then I saw my picture frame where I was sitting on my dad's lap and my mom was standing beside dad. Sudden tears started dripping from my eyes intaking things, that I cried myself to sleep.
