The alley was dark and cold, the streets of New York were raving with people from the open way of the long cavern.
"I told ya', I don't have it." A tough guy standing a good 6'4" crouched like a scared little kitten.
"Tsk, tsk, that's the wrong answer, Tino. You know where I can find it. Now I'm gonna ask you again. Who has it?" Her stiletto tapping on the ground in irritation as he watched her foot carefully.
"I-I don't know, but I-" His words were cut off as she aimed the barrel between his eyes and pulled the trigger, blowing his brains on the wall as his body fell limp.
"Won't they ever learn?" She pushed her purple revolver into her purse and strolled out, leaving the body untouched. The people in NY all knew to step aside as she walked down the streets of downtown like she owned the streets and she did.
A young woman wearing a black leather jacket and sunglasses strode up next to her. "Darling, will you take care of that accident for me in the third alleyway on your right?" The woman didn't say anything except nod. "Thank you, Sweetface."
She walked back to her condo. Being the baddest bitch in New York had it's advantages. She had men all over the city trying to get their hands on her and all she had to do was show a little leg, bat a little eye and she got anything she wanted though she would never take them to bed with her. Oh no, there was only one man for her and none them could suffice.
She peeled off her stilettoes and plopped down in her expensive chair before there a knock at the door. "What?" She yelled at it. When the door opened, a woman in a business suit stepped in with two bodyguard looking men holding up a beaten and bloody young male that looked like he was in his early 20's.
"We found him carrying off this." The woman held out the prized jeweled necklace with a glove. Tiffany gushed as she picked it up and held it close to her before looking down at the weak man in front of her.
"What did you do to Tino?" His voice was just as weak as his physique.
She gave a sinister smile and bent down to his level with her hands resting on her knees. "I turned your boy toy's brains into a slushy then I splat it all over the walls. Kinda what I wanted to do to you, until I realized that would be too nice for someone who stole from me." She walked over to the night stand and grabbed a pair of pliers. "Hold him down."
The giant men in suits forced him to the ground with a painful thud. Tiffany placed her bare pedicured foot on his chest and beckoned one of the guards to hand over the thief's palm. The guy started to shake and tremble in terror. "Please...don't!" His voice cracking.
"You know, I usually just cut off fingers when someone steals from me, but that necklace that you got your huge fingers around costs 20 million easy and so you are a big exception. We're gonna pretend your fingers are rolls of hundreds and I'm gonna collect. 1 hundred." His scream could be heard all throughout the building as Tiff cut the tip of his index finger. "2 hundred." She clipped another small piece from the same finger. She counted all the way until his finger was no more. "We are only on 8 thousand and you have more to give up."
Right as she was gonna start again with his middle, a soft wispy voice sounded in her ear. "Tiffany." She halted her movements and looked out the window into the night sky. There in the moon she saw a pair of yellow eyes that glowed brighter than the reflecting background. Her jaw dropped slightly as she dropped the pliers onto the floor and ran towards the window with a smile that she couldn't hide.
"Madam?" The woman asked in confusion. "Is something the matter?"
She turned back to the others, her smile never leaving. "Violet, would you be a doll and finish him off for me. I have a plane to catch."
"Now?" She asked in surprise.
"Yes, darling. I'm sure you'll keep up the place for me while I'm gone." She stated in a question like manner. Violet was lost for words as Tiffany ran to her room and started to pack before calling the airport. "Yes, I need to catch the next flight to Maine. Okay Perfect." She hung up and waved goodbye as she strode out of her apartment and into a cab, easily forgetting the mess that all stared in her in completely bewilderment.
"I'm coming, Sweetface." She whispered into the night as she stared up at the moon the whole way there to the airport.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Her whispered words drifted into the sky, floating all the way to a certain sewer where the inhuman being slept in the pitch darkness. As the words drifted into his ears, his eyes shot open, revealing glowing yellow orbs that narrowed dangerously.
He began to feel his hunger awaken with him.
He dropped down to the floor in his grotesque shape, until his bones popped into human size becoming the clown once more. As he popped his neck, noises filled his ears and it was a type of noise he wasn't used to hearing.
Excitement.
Like someone breathed life into the town. This piped up his curiosity as he watched through the storm drain. He couldn't see exactly what was taking part of the commotion but he can smell something that bothered him more than it should have.
He smelled popcorn and blood.
