We all stood there shocked, Jai and I the most. Anger built inside me, I was about to fucking let loose on him but as soon as it was about to come out, Jai grabbed my arm and quickly led me outside. We pushed past Beau and Jai called for Tori and Daniel to come too. “Jai please let me go back in there! I need to ex…” He cut me off by saying “Let’s talk about it later”, that’s all he said. He smiled and touched my burning cheeks, I nodded as Tori looped her arm through mine and we started walking along the path with Jai and Daniel behind us. “Babe, you can talk about it later. Just calm down first and lets walk to the corner shops.” I nod, she was right, although I can contain myself… It’s not like I’m a loose cannon or something. “Were we going?” Daniel’s face appeared between ours. “Night Owl and shit” I replied making space for him to come in between us. “How far are they from here Jai?” Tori asked. “About two streets away from here, it has a fair few shops.” He replied. I dropped back and let Tori and Daniel walk together, I started walking next to Jai “Sorry about that shit…” I said looking down. His hand grabbed mine and our fingers intertwined, letting me feel is warm, soft hands once again. “It’s fine, I always knew stuff was gonna go down. I mean, he did kind of have you first…” I laughed, “No he didn’t, I liked both of you’s but he was just the one who pursued his feelings haha, I didn’t even know you liked me.” “Who said I do?” He tried to ask seriously but a smile crept upon his face and we burst out laughing. “Wait… do you?” I asked suddenly getting serious. He leant in and licked my face, “Yes” I laughed and pushed him away, “You loser!” I yelled playfully hitting him. “You taste nice” He said blankly. I just shook my head as he took my hand again. We walked for a little longer, Daniel inched closer and closer to Tori. By the time we were at the shops, Daniel had his arm around Tori’s waste and was tickling her side. I don’t know if they had forgotten that we were right behind them because at one stage Tori leant up, kissed his neck and whispered something seductively to him.
“You know what we should do?” Tori asked excitedly. “I don’t know, what should we do?” Jai asked mimicking her excitement. “Let’s get hair dye!” I thought it was a great idea but the boys just stared at her with their jaws dropped. “Fuck off, I’m not dying my hair!” Daniel said as we walked into Night Owl, “Neither am I!” Jai added. “Fine then, Blake and I will. Right?” she asked me hoping I would say yes. “Yeah but what are you going to do to your hair? Only dye some it, the colour is so nice at the moment” “Yeah, I was going to put some baby pink all through the back. It would probably look cool with the blonde, ya think?” We all agreed it would. I knew it would look amazing but I couldn’t help but feel a little nervous for her, her foster parents A LOT of money for her perfect blonde bob. “Will Nola care” I asked as we looked at all in junk food in Night Owl. “No, I don’t think so, It’s not like I’m ruining it” she replied picking up a packet of chips. “Yeah I guess, hopefully it will turn out good. We continued shopping at Night Owl, we had decided for a movie night. Which probably meant cuddles… just saying. We left with our piles of chocolate, chips, soft drink and lollies and Tori and I quickly ran into the IGA which is next door. We tried to be quick so we didn’t have the boys waiting for us but I hadn’t even decided what colour I wanted. I stood there for a while looking at the hundreds of colour’s they had to offer. In the end I went with a reddy/purple colour. It was weird, I was actually going to have all of my hair just ONE colour. I grabbed 2 boxes and proceeded to the check out, I have to buy 2 boxes of everything for my hair. Because of its length, it makes everything a little more expensive. But I guess that’s the price you pay for having hair that comes half way down your bum. I looked up as the cashier spoke, “Blake!” it was Kristy. “Hey babe!” I said about give her a hug, till I noticed the huge counter in between us. “What are you doing here?” she asked, I hadn’t seen her all week. She was a year younger than me so that meant we had different lunch times at school. “You wouldn’t believe me if I told you.” I said dropping the boxes on the counter, “Tell me!” she pleaded. Tori arrived at the counter giving her a friendly wave, “Hey Tor” she smiled. “Hi Kristy, I didn’t know you worked here…” Kristy and Tori hadn’t always been as close. They were still friendly to each other but you could tell they just didn’t exactly hit it off, I don’t know why though, each other them are some of the nicest people you could ever meet. “Yeah I just started, now tell me Blake!” I laughed at her and said, “Well Tori and I are here with… Daniel and Jai.” Her mouth dropped and her eyes widened, “Huh? What? I don’t believe you!” Tori stepped in, “They’re just outside, you can see them. Look!” She pointed to Jai and Daniel who were leaning against some poles, talking with the shopping bags in their hands. Kristy let out a high pitched squeal, “Oh my god! When were you going to tell me? Wait I don’t get it, how did this all happen?” She was practically yelling at us. The person behind us cleared their throat for a sign for us to move on, “Babe, I’ll tell you another day. You have to get back to work by the looks of things” I gestured to the long line of people who were waiting to be served. We grabbed our things and left, waving off an embarrassed Kristy.
