Chapter 3

Chapter 3 - Optical

Luna's pov

I was happy to be sorted into Ravenclaw. There were pretty nice people in the house and they were very smart. The common room was beautiful, the blue walls overlooking the fireplace and the beautiful portrait of Rowena Ravenclaw stood on the wall. Walking into the girls dormitories only made it better. The blue drapes overhanging on the wooden beds and the windows open with air flowing through there was a bookshelves at the back of the room and it was marvelous. Sleeping in my bed on the first night was amazing. The soft pillows and the neat sheets. It was glorious falling asleep in an un-wakeable transe.

I woke up to the sound of girls crowded the door and screaming I sat up and looked towards the door. I didn't see anything. I got up and slipped out of my pink nightgown and put my robes on. I tighten my tie and walk downstairs passing all the girls. "What are they so excited about" I thought to myself picking up my history of magic book and walked out of the portrait. I walked down to breakfast feeling a bit alone. I sat down and grabbed a piece of toast from a circle platter. I buttered the toast and starting eating. I slowly finished up then I stood up. I began walking back up to the steps to the common room when I heard something from down below. I looked down and Ginny, Draco, and Hermoine. I watched anxiously and saw that Draco had his hand on Ginny's shoulder. I began to pull out my wand when I saw Ginny blasted him against the wall. I went to my first class, Dinivation, after. I couldn't concentrate at all. Professor Trelawny walked over to me and the guy next to me. She asked for the predictions.

After class I saw the same kid sit next to me in Potions. I looked at him and said "Luna," I started saying. I think I heard him say I know, but I could have been hearing things. "My name is jace" he said in a cool voice. I started giggling at him trying to be cool. I started working on my potion when Jace accidentally "spilled" something. I swear I couldn't stop laughing.

After all my classes I went to the library. I was just looking around because I didn't want to be alone. Then I saw Jace through the shelf. Our eyes locked connection and my heart started beating faster. The warm sensation ran through me like a stampede. I felt the energy rush to my legs as I fell down to the bottom shelf. I could hear him laughing. He walked around to my side and sat down next to me. "Warm down here, isn't it" I giggled. It was completely warm. He got up and held out his arm. He grabbed my hand and pulled me up. His hands were so soft and warm. The sensation of him just filled me with a warm feeling. I skipped out of the library and to the common room. Jace  followed me laughing the whole way.  I said the password and got into the common room with him in tow.

I looked at him for a final time, said goodnight, then went up the stairs. I saw a group of guys swarm him. I heard their voices saying "you got her to notice you" and "when are you guys gonna start snoggling" they all made fun of him. I felt bad as I closed the door. I turned around when the girls from this morning looked at me. One finally spoke after a few moments. "J-Jace, he talked to you" I replied with yes and the whole lot started giggling. I got in my nightgown and put the drapes down so no one could see me in my bed. As I drifted off I heard the girl who's bed was by mine say "Lucky Luna"
