The entire chapter has a trigger warning.

//Daisy's POV

I called the Childline number (real number is 0800 11 11 in case anyone has problems) and let it ring. A cheery operator picked up. "This is Lauren, how can I help?" "Lauren, hi, this is Daisy Bristol, I'd like to report someone for child abuse."

We chatted for about 20 minutes and I said bye, hanging up. She'd suggested me to adopt her after her adopted father, Luke, had been checked out. Well, even though I'm 18 and Hazel's 16.
((Arin's 19 but Daisy still tops ;)) ))

I'd seen her at college a lot lately. She'd never speak. Just stare. She looked terrified and rough. Understandable due to the social withdrawl.

I was just happy to see her. Glad Luke had finally let her off that tight leash.

As I am hopefully going to be able to adopt Hazel I better tell Arin.

Arin was sat in the kitchen on one of the barstools. I was situated on the couch, my laptop on my lap. I was finishing one of my college assignments.

"Hey Arin?" Daisy asked, tapping away at the keys of his laptop.

"Yes babe?" Arin answered before taking another bite of his green apple.

"How do you feel about kids?" Daisy questioned.

"Your pregnant?!" Arin dropped his apple.

I gazed at my baby boy. "No baby, that's not how it works. I swear, I need to stop keeping you up late ( ;)) ). I'm talking about adopting?" I continued to tap away at the keys of my laptop.

After finishing my assignment about an hour later, and after I'd printed off official adoption papers, I signed some things here and there. Now all I needed was a signature from Luke. This.... This was not going to be easy.

"Your Hazel's Dads? But you come to this college??" The teacher seemed pretty shocked. "Well, yeah. We adopted Hazel because... well, family issues." Arin was pretty chill about all of this. "Mhm. And we need a signature from a viable parent, buut... that's the hard part. In any case, here's my assignment, sir." I handed him the paper, smiled, nodded and walked home. Time to forge a signature!

"So we're adopting Hazel?" Arin asked as I sat at my desk, examining Luke's signature. L Jones.

Arin situated himself on my bed. Laid his head back.

Dinner with Luke.

Luke's POV//

So, I'd made Hazel agree to come out for dinner with me and my sister. (FUCK THEY MULTIPLIED??) Hazel would've said I forced her but it's better than sitting at home.

Her and this guy had been sharing glances all night. I'd describe him as a quite unattractive and scruffy boy. Compared to me at least (Hi Bich by Bhad Bhabie is me @ Luke :)).

He wore a red and black flannel. Possibly gay. He's really pale. He wore red converses and blue jeans. He was carrying around an axe shaped guitar which was grey and red.
