She mopped her swollen face again,
Trying in vain to stop the rain.
Wondering if the vows they made meant nothing,
If the moments they shared ever worth a thing.People told me, "That's reality, snap out of your dreams!"
.
The guneeeshot rang through the air,
Then he knew, his death was unfair.
His friend had led him here, nowhere.
To end him and claim his lion share. They keep telling me, "That's reality, snap out of your dreams!"
.
No one could hear her,
She'd wandered far.
She'd wanted a legitimate job in the new world.
Now, she's a slave, locked in with a merciless lord.Again, they say, "That's reality, snap out of your dreams!"
.
He was smiling at my abashed state,
I am going to crash, at this rate.
"You betrayed me, I called you friend."
I thought our sworn loyalty would never end."If this is reality, I'd rather live in my dreams."
