"So where do you want to go for lunch?" Sebastian asked, glancing over at you in the passenger seat.
"I thought you already had this all planned out, Sebastian," you teased.
"Yeah but i didn't really decide a restaurant," he replied.
"Are we thinking fancy or fast food?" you asked.
"Either," he replied, and you thought for a moment.
"How about Wendy's?" you asked.
"Wendy's? out of all the places--"
"look who's complaining now," you interrupted and he looked over and rolled his eyes.
"Wendy's it is," he said as he continued driving and you couldn't help but smile at his reluctance.
Once you got to Wendy's which happened to only be 10 minutes away, you ordered your food. *You got a lot of strange looks from people since you were still pretty wet* Soon enough you got it and sat down in an open booth. You both had ordered a burger with fries and a frosty. And water, of course. You took a bite of your burger.
"Thanks for doing this, Sebastian," you said as soon as you had swallowed your bite.
"Doing what?" he asked.
"Just today...like the whole day...planning everything...thanks," you replied.
"And there's still much more to come," Sebastian replied with a wink, and you smiled.
The day went by fast and you did too many things to keep track. It was finally around 8 and getting dark out.
"I have two more things planned," said sebastian, and you looked over at him.
"Tell me pleaseeee?" you begged.
"No," he replied, "you'll just wait and see."
"Please?"
"no."
"please?"
"no."
"please?"
"fine...we are meeting some friends to see fireworks and then there's a fourth of july party at one of their houses," he gave in.
"Ooh fun! I can't wait," you said with a broad smile.
Soon you began driving through a very crowded area and Sebastian pulled over and parked on the side.
"Come on...i doubt we can find a spot closer so we can walk the rest of the way," he suggested as the two of you got out of the car.
He walked to the trunk and pulled out two blankets and then the two of you began walking along the sidewalk. You arrived in the park area and there were loads of people everywhere. Sebastian grabbed your hand and you felt your heart skip a beat as the two of you weaved in and out of people. You had been looking for a while when Sebastian finally got out his phone and dialed a number.
"Hey! Look...i don't think we will be able to find you...can we just meet you at your house after? ...okay...okay...bye," he hung up and turned to you, "Looks like we will just meet them afterwards...you good with that?"
"Yeah, sure," you said casually.
The truth was, though, you were happy to spend some more time alone with sebastian.
It was almost 9 and that's when the fireworks started and you finally found a more vacant area to set down your blanket *and it happened to be under a tree* You both set down one blanket and then sat down and leaned against the tree, your shoulders brushing against each other because you were so close...
Sebastian pulled the second blanket over the two of you right as the fireworks erupted in a distance...one by one, they went off, with each one more beautiful then the next.
You had always appreciated fireworks, and just sitting here, with sebastian, made it even better....
