It was quite awkward, sitting in between Tony and Pepper while their little discussion goes on and on, occasionally making Eve to take sides on their arguments.

“Her mother didn’t want her to know!” Pepper spat, eyes burned with anger as she pointed accusingly at Tony.

“Her mother is a devil! No offense, love.” He fought back, rolling his eyes and sighed tiredly.

     “Tony, if she finds out-“

Eve looked from Pepper to Tony, back and forth, debating on whether she should be angry at the fact that her mother had hid so many things from her or to thank her mom for keeping her away from her crazy father, whom she had yet to meet. Not wanting to just sit back and listen to their bickering anymore, she wiggled her way out from the two and quietly made her way to the kitchen.

“There! You scared her off with your scary face!” Tony threw his hands up in the air, giving up on their little discussion, knowing full well that it will lead to nowhere.

“My scary face?” she gave him an offended-look, “Are you sure it’s not the fact that you just, technically told her that her whole life was a lie?!”

He looked taken aback, corner of his mouth twitched but he made no effort in talking back. Pepper continued to glare at him, a few strands of hair sticking out from her perfectly-tied-up bun. She looked slightly much more calmed, but he could tell that she is still mad at him.

“Well, are you going to go talk to her or what?” she finally brought up the main topic. Tony stretched both his hands and rested them behind his head, eyeing her lazily, “Then what? Let you yell at me again after?” She shot him another glare before pushing herself up from her seat and straighten her attire, “You started this little mess, you clean it up. I have works to do,” she turned and walked over to the elevator, “As a matter of fact, your work.” Before he was able to respond to her last statement, she had entered the elevator and headed to the office-floor. He let out a soft groan before lazily stood up and walked over to the kitchen.

Slamming the door of the fridge shut after grabbing a bar of chocolate, Eve climbed onto the stool at the kitchen counter and started to peel the wrappers without showing any mercy. Slowly taking in the first bite, her attention shifted to a figure leaning against the entrance to the kitchen.

“How was the discussion?” she took another bite at her chocolate, changing her attention to an ant moving a tiny crumble piece of chocolate around a basket of fruit.

“Wonderful,” he replied, sarcastically. He straightened up and walked over to take a seat beside Eve, “How’s the chocolate that I never thought I would ever eat?” he pointed at the chocolate bar in small hand. She turn her attention back to the older man, ignoring his question, “So, you’re Iron man. My father is a crazy scientist working for an U.S. government agency. And my mother hate me because- what again?”

“She- do you want a drink?” he quickly got up and walked over to the fridge and pulling the door open.

“Tony,” her voice was stern, eyes staring at him intensely, waiting for his reply. He took out a bottle of red wine and slammed the door shut. Pulling out the drawer, he reached for the opener and opened the cap smoothly.

     “Drink?”

     “No.”

He hopped onto a stool opposite of her, so now that they’re face to face, “Your mother don’t hate you.” She cocked an eyebrow, staring lazily at him. “Okay, maybe a little but-“
