Dread.

Was what he felt at that moment. Ethan was shocked- how could this beautiful innocent woman not be a human? At least the survey did confirm.

Was she even innocent?

He spares a glance at the blamed who was flush red, horrified. Fright dwelled in her expression. He looks back at his faithful Beta, for confirmation.  Shane is down to earth, he wouldn't lie.

He is the Alpha, so he thought. He should assume his responsibility.

"Take her to the dungeons" he commanded.

"What?" was all Aunnor could say.

Aunnor was stunned at first. She soon realise that, Ethan now was no more her boss. He is the Alpha of the territory that she dared to enter. What if they actually do know her true identity? She could run, yes, but wouldn't that be a foul move? She had already made note that the pack house was tightly secured, given the latest technology was used at the maximum here.

What can she do?

Nathan!

Nathan, alert the pack! I have been caught!

She tried to reach her Beta but the connection was feeble.

"M'am."

Aunnor knew that voice way too well.

"And this is her accomplice, Alpha." sounded Shane, pride hidden in his voice.

"Who happens not to be a human as well and a man."

Ethan was confused at first. He never saw this very much broad-shouldered man... Very large biceps that coated his arms. He seems familiar though. His well built body just like the --

" The so called assistant, Alpha" cleared the clever Beta.

For some reasons, Ethan was angered that Aunnor had spent so much time with this man.

Shane definitely had done a great job, to be able to uncover that fool proof plan. Apparently he hadn't done it fully though, Aunnor pondered, he hasn't yet known they were werewolves. If he had, guards would have stood beside him...right?

"So Alpha" continued Shane, causing Ethan to break from his mini shock that seemed to have chained his heart.

The room filled with a deafening silence; that silence which hides suspense...the not yet known punishment was awaited patiently.

Ethan was blurred by betrayal, for the first time he had feelings- those he buried and swore to never even spare a glance- and so he turned on his heels and left abruptly towards the door. He knew that he had to let all his anger out. If not it will be dangerous, even if Aunnor was not human. The thought of Aunnor having lied to him ached his heart... squeezing all life of him as tears profusely left his eyes. It would be most preferable to leave them in the hands of Shane.

Take care of them until am gone.

Yes Alpha.

And listen... don't be hard on the girl.

Are you okay? Alpha? Alpha? Eth--?

At that point, Ethan wanted to be alone. Even away from his best friend. He needs time to let everything out and let his wolf heal his broken heart...if it was possible.
