Tick Tock.

Is it over?

Tick Tock.

Dang it. Why is it taking him so long?
And someone throw that oddly rustic clock to the wall!

Aunnor shamelessly watched every move of Ethan or should she say the Alpha of whatever pack- note the mockery- going forward and backward. As he marched, which seemed like very very very long strides ( damn those are some long legs ) , Aunnor wondered what is he plotting in his mind.

There was no way on earth she was going to reveal her identity, neither will Nathan. But if he doesn't know their truth, he should not bother keeping them.

Ethan, deep in reflection, was pinching his lips , his eyes looking answers in devoid. Those pink plump that she once kissed.

It is not the time to think about that.

Ethan had thoroughly studied whatever data he was able to collect about those two trespassers. Apparently they are on visa in this part of the country, which means they are probably from the West or another country which is less likely, given that both are of supernatural ancestry.

"Would you stop staring?" Aunnor did a little jump, as she realise she was caught.

"Pfft do you think you are worth looking at?"

"Whatever! What is your purpose?" He dismissed the thrash like comment and became downright stern.

They did that little eye contact challenge that Ethan has already used like what, five times already?

But till when will this go on? The talisman's effect is going to end in some weeks...how is she going to hide her scent plus now that her mate is from this area?

Screw my fate, she thought.

Mind-linking Nathan would be a foul move, wolves may catch on their telepathic talking. It's actually easy to detect.

"Throw us to the other border already! I don't understand why you are still keeping us!" Shit...those were impulsive words.

"Why are you so keen to leave? This just makes my will to make you remain here stronger."

Just effing great! Yep, goodbye freedom.

"Now, now gorgeous, won't you spit those nasty intention of yours? On whose command are you here?" low-key came a growl.

That was scary.

But Aunnor managed to keep her calm.

Seeing no response from the blamed, he understood that even if they used force she would not say anything...that's just Aunnor. Well, in reality he didn't want her to be hurt.

Yeah, he still cared nonetheless. He couldn't push the feeling away.
His wolf whimpered inside... feeling really secluded from his mate.

She isn't my mate, he kept repeating those words to himself.

Ethan scrunched his nose in reaction and when he lifted his eyes he saw Aunnor losing consciousness. Acting as if on instinct he caught her from falling off the chair.

His beta ran quickly in search of a human doctor but then it would take too long and humans aren't trustworthy. The only option left is the pack doctor.

Ouch.

It stings.

That throbbing pain in the head.

Squinting, Aunnor opened her eyes, having before her instead of the dirty dungeon mosses, a clear white ceiling.
