The Alternate Reality

Chapter One - 48 Hours

Screams escaped through open air. Through jarring eyes laid the reflection. The only reflection of sufferable pain, where innocent souls drown in their own bloody puddles. Where the trigger is always pulled and the count down til zero always ends with a fire. Smoke. Destruction.

"KARLIE! GOD DAMMIT! Frickin HELL! No, don't do this to me!"

Jayde pulled helplessly at her unconscious body, with all the strength she had. Not even a flicker of her eyes, had she been senseless with only but blood dripping down her pale forehead. Jade proceeded to continue pulling her from under the rubble, that were to crush her bones slowly soon. Karlie let out a groan and winced at the pain occurring in her body.

"Oh my GOD! Karlie! Karlie, can you hear me?"

"Huh?"

"You have to help me."

Karlie groaned, "Crap, my leg hurts"

"Try to fight the pain. Okay? And pull! We have to get outta here!"

"Crap. No, no. I can't! You have to get out!"

"Damn you Karlie!"

"Damn me some other time. Just flippin' go already!"

Jayde doesn't budge and sits with Karlie's hand in hers. "No."

She crosses her eyebrows and takes in the view.

Another explosion came upon them and instantly, all they felt was complete numbness.

- 48 hours earlier -

"Jayde! Get the popcorn!" Karlie yelled as she had just sat down beside her grimacing.

She heavily sighed, "Get it yourself!"

"But it's like three steps away.." Karlie groaned.

"That's too far for me...and someone glued my legs to the floor. I think they were the tiny people."

"The heck? You high? Well, do me a favour and tell those tiny people that if they don't get me the popcorn, I'll rip their favourite pig plushie's head off and use it as my mat."

Jayde stared at her intensely while Karlie chuckled.

"Well I think I squished them already with my ass before you even asked me."

"You know what else is going to get squished?" Karlie smirked mischievously.

"What?"

"Hm, it starts with Pig and ends with Collection."

"Oh my God! You monster! Noooo! How could you reck such precious tings?"

"How couldn't I?"

"I guess I'll have to do the same for your yak collection!"

"Oh no you di-in't!"

"Yes, I di-id!"

Karlie laughed, "Oh my God... you back away, young lady!"

"I'm a full grown woman! Thank you very much."

"You're seventeen. What you on about?"

"You to-" SMASH! They both stood up immediately and sprinted hurriedly towards the harsh sound.

"What was that?" Karlie questioned.

"It's always our parents right?"

"Right.. but don't you ever wonder what goes in that room though?"

"...You nastyyy"

"Noo! I meant like the secret stuff that they hide in there, you butt."

Jayde chuckled. "Honestly, they'll take away my phone privileges if I go in there".
