ALEXA did not understand her twin today. Julia typically wasn't so crazy. Yet, her sister had appeared at her work at the time she had claimed she would come. And she had worn Alexa's uniform. Great.
"Omigod, Alexa, Julia got a job here too!" Lacey squealed in excitement.
"No, I didn't," Julia said calmly, almost paying no attention to Lacey's ridiculous comment. Instead, her eyes were sweeping the room.
"You stole my uniform!" Alexa exclaimed irritably, pointing at her sister, "You always take my clothes!"
"Not now, Lex." Julia's firm tone made Alexa stop in her tracks. If Julia was this serious, she had to be on a case. And if she was working on a case, it had to be very important.
"Carson Lord," Alexa murmured, causing Julia to look back at her again, "That's what your case is about."
Julia pursed her lips.
"Yes," She admitted, "Arabella Chermont wants proof of his cheating. But you can't tell anyone. This is a matter of utmost secrecy. Now excuse me, I need to do my job." And Julia dashed off towards the elevator.
"Julia!" Alexa called after her, but her twin didn't respond, "Oh, fuck. I guess I'm going to have to be the one to explain to her that we have a no harassment policy."
Alexa raced after Julia, even though her sister had a twenty-minute head start. That was because Alexa had to make sure she could have her break (Because she really did not want to get fired). So naturally, by the time Clyde had grudgingly agreed that she could have her break, she had no idea where Julia went. She opted to try the employee stairs since it wasn't likely that Julia would risk the security cameras in the elevators. She also believed that her twin would be headed to Carson Lord's hotel room, so she would try to meet her there. Of course, that was easier said than done.
Alexa huffed and puffed as she ran up the stairs to the presidential suite.
"I have got to get to the gym," She muttered to herself. Finally, she stopped to rest on a platform, since she was huffing and puffing way too much. Alexa heard the door open but didn't think much of it.
