I was woken up by shouting and emediatly ran out of the room. In the living room was Nolette and Deen. Nolette was in tears and Deen seemed really pissed.
"What's going on?" I asked stepping forward. Noltte looker at me.
"I'm sorry...I can't anymore. This is too much. Living on our own in this virus? We are bait! I am leaving. I am going to the army camps," She sobbed and grabbed her bag.
"No! You can't just f*cking leave!!!" Deen shouted and grabbed Nolette's wrist.
"Let me go!" Nolette ripped her arm away from Deen and stormed out of the house.
We were all expecting her to come back, but she didn't. At 6 at night we all listened closely to the radio.
"A girl was standing outside the northern camp, screaming for us to open. We weren't sure if it would be safe, but when our rescue team arrived it was just too late. The girl was brutally murdered by at least 7 zombies. Scientists believed that the virus might last up to 6 more months."
I looked over at Deen. Her brown eyes is filled with tears and Caitlyn held her close. Kyla seemed sad as well...and I was dissapointed.
Why didn't Nolette listen? Why did she take the coward's way out?
Later that night we were all eating some left over sandwiches and eggs.
"So...last year, I was so drunk, I made out with a girl. And I found it quite...nice," Deen finished her story and we all laughed. It is nice catching ip with her after all these years.
We were finishing up when we heard a crash outside.
"What the...oh f*ck. Please don't be the Jeep. Please don't be the Jeep!" I prayed.
Deen was out her seat before any of us could move. She grabbed her nearest gun and slipped out the front door. I followed after.
A car had droven into a tree. It was a truck. Deen moved closer and I stayed back.
She looked into the window, I couldn't see her expression. Suddenly she pulled the door open and another body fell into her arms. The body was way bigger than her (so it looked kinda weird).
She came towards me.
"Help me! He is f*cking heavy!" She shouted.
