"All you need is Love and a cup of Coffee."
Sometimes, it only takes a moment to fall in love.
This time I'm coming with a short story about two people who meet at a cafe and eventually fall in love.
Meera works at "THE COFFEE LO...
The ride back home was silent as both, Meera and Harsh were engaged in their own thoughts.
For Meera, what she did was quite unexpected. She never let any guy get this closer to her. She let Harsh, whom she barely knew, go with her to meet Abhi.
She had built these walls around her heart, not letting anyone to get closer to her emotionally.
While, on the other hand, Harsh just watched her face once in a while. She looked so deep in her thoughts and hence he decided not to disturb her.
But one thing was sure, he realized his feelings were so sorted for her. It was special and the urge to make her happy was so strong too.
He already felt that she controlled her feelings and now he would try to let her true self out.
The cab came to an halt as he climbed down first and as the gentleman he was, opened the car door for her. Meera smiled in return mumbling a small thank you to him as he happily helped her to walk inside her home.
He made her rest on her cozy bed as Meera stared at him.
She never come across people like him, who really cared for her.
She could feel it.
Smiling at her one last time, "I'll just leave now, call me if you need me," he said as he left a piece of paper containing his contact number at her bedside table.
He was about to step out from her room, when Meera stopped him.
Frowning, he turned her way.
"My shift ends at 8 in the evening," she started, leaving a dazed Harsh, "You can meet me after that, for your project" she completed and this made him feel elated, a bright smile taking over his face.
"Thank you so much," he grinned as he stepped closer.
Nodding lightly, she fidgeted with the hem of her shirt as she hesitantly let out those words.
"Thank you for being there to help," she said in a quiet tone, "I owe you for taking me there with this injury," Meera completed with a small smile.
"That's nothing really," Harsh remarked, "You're helping me too, like you just said. So it's equal now" this brought a genuine smile on Meera's face and he couldn't be more happier.
The sound of heavy rain echoed around them as he frowned.
"You could stay for a while, till the rain stops or lessens," Meera suggested as he gave her a questioning look.
"No, its fine," he waved it off as he took his bag with him.
"No. I insist," Meera insisted as he gave him a smile. Why she stopped him was a mystery to her too. She just blurt it out whatever she felt. But she never regretted that.
"Thank you," saying so, he showed his signature smile.
"Would you like to drink something?" Meera asked after a while as she slowly tried to get up from her bed.
"No, I'm fine," he replied, "What do you wanna drink, I can make coffee, not the delicious one but I can" he chuckled as he looked at her.
"It's okay," she smiled a little, "I will make cocoa latte, you like it?" She asked as she made slow steps.
He trailed behind her as he stood beside her.
"Yeah, thanks" he said. "Stop saying it repeatedly" she remarked as Harsh watched her from a distance.
He felt like he was going to win her. Meera started showing her real self to him and for that he was glad.
The next few days were like a blur.
As she was injured, she was on leave. They started meeting at her little place as she tutored him.
Harsh stared at her in adoration as they decided to watch a movie after the long session of tuition for him. Her hair was dancing on her face making it difficult for him to clearly view at her glowing face.
He was dumbstruck by her beauty. Meera was enjoying the movie while Harsh, he was enjoying looking at his silent angel. He just can't take away his eyes from her mesmerizing face, which glistened every time she smiled and those soft laughter always steals his heart.
His hand automatically made its way towards her face as he removed the loose strands away by tucking it behind her ear lovingly. He loved her long wavy hair. She was a real beauty for him.
Meera was slightly taken aback as she stared at him.
"Harsh," she called out for him in her soft voice as he smiled unconsciously.
"Are you fine?" Meera asked dubiously.
He nodded, still admiring her.
Shifting back to reality, he found a frowning Meera.
"What's wrong, you're behaving weird today!" Meera commented as she shifted her concentration from him to the television in front of her.
"I like you," he expressed as Meera jerked her face towards him, "A lot" he completed as he waited for her to speak something, but nothing came out of her mouth.
She just gaped at him in shock.
