Chapter 5

Olina's POV

I was heartbroken. There was no other way to describe how I feel right now. Brighton notices why I just stopped in the middle of the store. "Hey, come on we'll get food." I smiled and nodded. Brighton always knew how to make me feel better. I am glad I have him as a brother.

Brighton's POV

I felt so bad for Olina. I didn't know what to do so I suggested that we just go get some food, to my relief she nodded. I know that, that puppy means the world to Olina. I don't want to have to do this to her but I have to. I promised...

Olina's POV

Despite the fact that I was heartbroken I still smiled and pretended like nothing was wrong. After all it's just a dog. I'll find another one. That dog is replaceable.

Brighton bought me some food, my favourite, yet I just looked at it in disgust. I didn't want it. How did I ever like it? I don't need food, do I? I don't want to eat I feel fine. "Hey I know you're sad but you need to eat." I shrugged my shoulders, " I'm not hungry." Brighton just nodded. I don't feel like I fit into this family. There is four boys and then you get me. I've never met my second oldest brother, Cole, he was always busy when I was growing up and he never actually met me as he was always in a different part of California to us. I don't like how I'm the only girl. No one understands me and I feel so different there is no other way to describe it. I'm just different to them.

Cole's POV

I have always hated myself for never being there for Olina. I never met her, I was too busy to. She was almost 18. 18 years without me in her life. 18 years of not having her whole family with her. It was heartbreaking, never being a part of her life.

I walked up the stairs to the apartment. August and Brighton had a plan. I was going to be there when Olina came back from the pet store upset. Little did she know that I was the person who bought Kelsea. I had been in LA for a day and I just wanted to be with her but that wasn't part of our plan.

August told me what dog it was so I could buy it straight after they had left the store. I would take it to Logan's apartment so Olina wouldn't know where Nala was. Brighton would take Olina to buy the puppy and it wouldn't be there. She would get sad, Brighton would bring her to Logan's where I was with Kelsea. It was the perfect plan. Olina would have everything she ever wanted in one day.
