Well, The Truth Is...

Chapter 2

I was shaken awake rather violently by Chloe "WE'RE HERE!!!"

I smiled slightly and laughed, I crawled out of the car and grabbed my bags, following Chloe into the house. I gaped at how big it was.

"How in the name of hell did you guys rent a house this big?"

"We bought it a while ago." Chloe told me

I stared at her in disbelief, she just shook her head and laughed. She dragged me to what I presumed was her room. It was painted like a rainbow.

"Do you want to head down to the beach?" I asked

"Hell yas bitch!" She screamed as she got into her rainbow bikini

I opened my duffel bag and pulled out my black lace bikini. I pulled my hair into a tight ponytail. I pulled out my nose, double snakebite and vertical labrete piercings. Oh shit, I think I forgot to mention to you guys that I have a lot of peircings.

We headed out the back door to the beach, they had their own private stretch of beach. I followed Chloe into the water and listened as Chloe started yelling directions to me. We landed in a huge cove, there were lights on the walls and seats strewn about, along with a few towels.

"Catch!"

I turned just in time to see a towel make a bee-line right at my face. I blinked a few times as it fell off my head and onto my feet. Chloe burst out laughing and I just glared at her.

"Fuck you Chlo." I told her before picking up the towel and wrapping it around my body and tucking the ends into my suit straps to keep it from falling off.

She laughed again before explaining to me where we were "this is my space on the beach, there is access to it from the beach house but I prefer to swim to it. I decorated it on my own."

"This place is beautiful! Satan, I wish I could just live here!" I gasped in awe

"I'm gonna go grab our phones really quick so we can take some photos to post on Instagram and Tumblr." She told me before running up a staircase I had completely missed

I dropped my towel and dove into the water. It was cold, but nothing that I wasn't used to. Pushing my head underwater I allowed my hair to get fully wet. I also allowed my eyes to open underwater, it took a few minutes for them to adjust from the open air to the salt water. There was something shimmering brightly, so I decided to go see what it was.

I quickly made it to where the shimmering thing was laying and I realized it wasn't just a thing but two rings. I picked them up and headed back to the cove. Pulling myself out of the water I heard Chloe sigh with what seemed like relief.

"Where were you? I leave for literally thirty seconds and you disappear!" She near screams

"Sorry I was just swimming, I found two rings while I was out in the water by the way." I nonchalantly say the last part

I toss one of the rings to her, and put the other one on my left ring finger due to my right ring finger already being used with another ring. I was surprised when it fit perfectly. Looking at the pattern it reminded me of a Celtic knot. There was also what reminded me of a mermaids tail set in what I think is diamonds in the center.

I was pulled from my thoughts when Chloe told me we had to go back up and get ready for dinner. I pushed aside the thought of the ring and moved onto wether or not I wanted to wear the same thing that I wore on the drive or change. I decided against changing clothes but switching out my piercings from my nose piercing to my septum piercing and putting in my chain earrings.

I followed Chloe to the outdoor showers and quickly showered before sprinting into the house. I got into her room and went into the bathroom. I changed in there and hung up my towel and suit, then dried my hair and brushed through it.

I walked out on Chloe changing. We looked at each other ad shrugged, not like this hadn't happened before. Quickly I grabbed my earbuds and phone from a dresser and walked out of the room, closing the door as I did so.

I plugged in my earbuds and put on my Sleeping With Sirens, Pierce The Veil, and Bring Me The Horizon playlist. I put in my earbuds and put my volume on the loudest it would go, shut up I know it's gonna kill my ears but I don't give a flying fuck.

I wandered around for a little before going to the front room and grabbing my messenger bag, the same one I always referenced in all my fanfictions, and put my headphones, skateboard, and a few hair ties in. The rest of Chloe's family was there, but no Chloe.

"Did you two enjoy the cove?" Her mom asked

I smiled a little before responding with a yes. Her youngest sister, Maisy, ran over to me and made grabby hands, so I picked her up. The rest of her family just laughed and her parents took a few pictures. I pulled out my phone and took a selfie with her before putting her on my back.

"Awe that is SO adorable, Tansy!!" Chloe screeched as she walked into the room

Smirking I pulled out my skateboard before opening the door and dropping it. Telling her little sister to hold on I started skateboarding, still holding my phone, and vlogging. Chloe rolled her eyes before running to catch up with us.

We went all the way to the boardwalk, only stopping to let everyone catch up every now and then.

Chloe walked with us. We held hands, 'cause we were best friends and that's what we do. We didn't even need to talk, we just walked (well I skateboarded). Eventually every started walking with us.

Stopping occasionally to look at shops. We found a store that sold candy, causing Chloe and I to go crazy and beg to go in. Luckily her parents were kind enough to let us. We immediately went crazy and started looking at everything, trying to decide what to buy. We ended up buying and lot of gummy worms, M&M's, and Oreos. All of it was ours because none of her other siblings wanted anything from the store.

I put the candy into my bag for later. Chloe and I decided we would come back to the boardwalk tomorrow and look around a bit more carefully. We stopped at an ice cream stand and bought a huge sundae for me, Chloe, and Maisy to share. It was mint chocolate chip (my favorite), chocolate chip cookie dough (Chloe's favorite), and vanilla and chocolate with a Carmel swirl (Maisy's favorite). It was topped with hot carmel, hot fudge, Reese's peanut butter cups, M&M's, whipped cream, and finally 20 cherries (don't judge us we like cherries!).
