Adopted by Jensen Ackles

Chapter 3

After saying goodbyes (at about 10:30 pm), we all piled into the car and drove for about 2 minutes and parked in this huge garage. Jensen spoke before we left the car.

"So, Maya, before you go in the house can we ask you to stay in the garage for about 2 minutes while me and Danneel really quickly do something? I promise it won't take too long."

"Sure. No problem, I guess..." I was unsure of what was happening but just tried my best to just go along with it.

"Thank you." Danneel said beating Jensen to it.

Danneel got out first getting JJ out of the car and presumably to her bed as it looked as though she had had a very long day. Jensen turned to me and smiled a genuine smile before leaving the car as well to do whatever he needed to. I sat there for a few moments before realising I was meant to be out of the car and waiting in the garage. I started to get out of the sleek black car when Jensen came bounding through the garage door making me jump with fright and hit my head on the door frame...

"Ow" I groaned under my breath.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to make you-" I cut Jensen off as he was apologising.

"Dude, it's fine. Don't worry 'bout it." I tried my best to reassure him.

"Well, ok. Anyway, it's time for you to come in."

I walked quickly into my new home but slowed down once entering the door to admire and take everything in. Everything looked so amazing! I can't believe this is my new home!

I was interrupted from my thoughts when a hand waved in front of my face. "Hey, Maya. Are you ok there?" Danneel asked from the other side of the entrance hall.

"Oh, yeah. It just looks so amazing!"

Jensen was the one to reply, "Well, I think you are going to like the rest of the house as well. What do ya say, we get dinner and show you to your new bedroom, then tomorrow you can have a full tour of the house? Maybe you can go shopping with Danneel and Gen tomorrow, like a girls' day out?"

At first, I had no idea what to say but then I had to try my best to be quiet as JJ needed her sleep.

"Of course, that all sounds so awesome! I have never been shopping before. What are we having for dinner?"

"Hmm, why don't you choose?" Danneel replied but I was stunned as we moved to the kitchen which was huge and three times the size of the kitchen at the orphanage.

"Well... Erm... Could you possibly make a salad? Just as a quick meal since it is really late at night and I am super tired." I said this slowly, making up my excuse so they didn't get worried about me.

Jensen and Danneel looked at each other for a few seconds before replying simultaneously with, "Ok".  

~Timeskip to about 11:30 p.m.~

We had just finished dinner and I excused my self to go sit in the living room. I sat there for a few minutes before Danneel came in and sat beside me. We sat in an awkward silence for a few more seconds before she started to say something. "Hey, Maya. Are you sure you don't want anything else? We have plenty-"

"I'm fine. I promise." I replied in a calm tone to reassure her that it was fine. She sat there for a few moments before saying one last thing then getting up to talk to Jensen. I didn't really hear what Danneel had said since I sort of zoned out. 

Soon Jensen came over and asked, "Would you like to see your room now?"

"Yes!" I tried my best not to shout but failed.

Jensen let out a small chuckle and started to walk away. He turned around and did a hand gesture for me to follow him. I quickly followed pursuit. We went up the stairs and I looked at the photos that lined the walls. JJ when she was even smaller; Jensen and Danneel's wedding photos. Then there was an empty photo frame. I will ask about that later.

We carried on down the hall, all the way to the end and to the left. Jensen stood at the door and gestured for me to go in. . .
