The sunlight hit Cole in the face which made him wake up, blocking the light from his face. He tried to sit up but warm arms held him in place. Cole looked over and saw Ryan holding onto him, he felt warm and safe. Not wanting to wake up the phoenix he just stayed there and cuddled into the boy.
A few minutes of laying there, Ryan began to move and groan as he woke up. "Morning..." Ryan said as he let Cole go and stretched his arms till he felt the satisfying pops.
"Morning..." Cole practically whispered as a blush crept onto his face. He grabbed his phone which was on the side table net to him. When he opened it he saw several missed calls and messages from Alexa and Joseph. He locked his phone again, not wanting to deal with his family. He got out of the bed and saw that he was just in boxers and when he looked over at Ryan, so was he. His blush grew to a deep shade of red, he went to just put on his clothes from yesterday but Ryan stopped him.
"You can't wear that. Here you can wear some of my clothes." Ryan got out of bed and Cole quickly looked away, but not before he saw his six pack abs and muscles all over his body. Ryan went over to his dresser and pulled out a black t-shirt, black jeans, a pair of socks and boxers.
"Th-thanks..." Cole got up, took the clothes and went into the bathroom that was connected to Ryan's room. He quickly put the clothes on and saw that they were a bit big on him. He sighed and silently cursed his tiny frame before walking out looking down at the ground.
"Awww!" Ryan cooed which made Cole turned bright red. "You look so cute in my clothes."
"Sh-shut up." Cole whined and looked away. "They don't fit because you're a giant."
"Or you're too short." He said with a grin on his face which caused Cole to glare at the taller boy.
"Watch it bird brain. You know what they say, 'the shorter you are, the closer to hell'." He said with his glare intensifying. Ryan chuckled and ruffled Cole's already bed head stricken hair. He groaned and tried to fix it the best he could but gave up.
"C'mon we have school." Cole groaned and threw himself face down on the bed. Ryan laughed and picked the small fox up.
"Put me down!" Cole squealed and thrashed around in the other's arms trying to break free.
"I will when we get to the car." Cole groaned and let himself be carried by the bird. When they got outside Ryan put Cole in the passenger side, closed the door and got in the driver side.
"Wait! Where's my sword!?" Cole asked looking through his bag that was left in Ryan's car from the park.
"Oh, it's in the trunk. You can't really carry it around." Ryan explained with a smirk on his face.
"It's fine. I have my knives and my chain." Cole said with a grin.
"What?" Cole pulled out three sets of throwing knives, two daggers and a long iron chain out of his bag. "Why the hell do you have those?"
"Just in case." He said simply. Ryan just shook his head and started the drive to the school.
About half way to the school, Cole's phone went off. He groaned and answered it, "hi, Alexa."
"I'm gonna kill you, you little shit!" She shouted.
"Nice to hear from you too, baby sis." His grin could be heard in his voice.
"Can it, bitch! Where the fuck are you!?"
"On my way to school with Ryan."
"We are so gonna have to talk about that later." She said before hanging up. Cole opened his mouth to say something but was cut off by a grey wolf running out into the street and stopping in front of the car. Ryan slammed on the brakes and came to a stop. He got out of the car and walked up to the wolf and Cole followed him and grabbed his chain incase the wolf attacked.
