Cole and Ryan were driving to Ryan's house. "You can stay with me as long as you want to. I'll have Alexa or Joe bring some of your things." Cole just nodded and continued to look out of the car window. "Cole just talk to me."
"No." He signed without looking at the driver. Ryan let out a sigh and pulled into his driveway. Ryan got out of the car and Cole followed soot. They both walked to the opened trunk and Cole grabbed his rapier.
"You don't have to hide it from my mom. My parents know everything we know about the supernatural." Cole nodded and followed Ryan inside. When they got in Ryan walked up to his mom, a woman with long brown hair, dark brown eyes and pale skin. She smiled up at her son.
"Hi honey. How was your day?" She signed and looked over to see Cole and a smirk grew on her face. "And who's this?" Ryan blushed but Cole walked up to the pair.
"Hi, my name is Cole. Nice to meet you." Cole signed and her eyes lit up from excitement.
"Nice to meet you too, Cole. You can call me Diane. Ryan never told me he had a friend who knows sign language. Are you deaf?"
"No I'm not deaf, just mute most of the time." She nodded in understanding.
"We're just gonna be upstairs." Ryan signed and he pulled Cole up to his room. When they got in Cole put the sword near the desk and sat on the bed.
Cole laid down on the bed and just curled into a ball. Ryan walked over to him and bent down to look at the young fox. "Are you okay, Cole?"
"No..."
"It's not your fault. Void kitsune spirits have a tendency to corrupt the person. If that happens again we'll stop it. You will get full control, I promise you that and I will help you do it." Ryan started to pet Cole's hair and he leaned into the touch.
"Maybe Greg is right. Maybe it'd be better if you guys just killed me." Cole said harshly not looking at Ryan.
"He said that!?" Cole just nodded slowly and Ryan's eyes flickered to orange. "Don't listen to that dick. You are not a burden. Alexa needs you, Joseph needs you, for crying out loud. I need you!" Cole looked up at the boy with wide eyes.
"You don't need me... No one needs me... I'm just-"
"Shut up!" Ryan shouted cutting Cole off making his breathing hitch. "Stop doubting yourself! We all need you! Don't say that stuff about you because it isn't even remotely true!" Cole was stunned no one has ever done something like that, not even Alexa or Joe. He sat up and looked into Ryan's eyes.
"Oh fuck it!" Cole grabbed Ryan by the shirt and pulled him till their lips met in a deep and passionate kiss. Ryan was startled at first but quickly melted into the kiss, he stood up not breaking the kiss and laid them both down on the bed so Ryan was on top of Cole between his legs. Cole wrapped his legs around Ryan and pulled him closer, wrapping his arms around the other's neck and Ryan placed his hands on Cole's hips.
A knocking at the front door pulled the two out of their own little world and Ryan quickly ran to the door. When he opened it he saw Alexa holding a duffel bag. "Here, this is some of Cole's things."
"Thanks. Do you want to come in?" She shook her head.
"No I have to get home. I just wanted to drop this off. I'll see you later." She walked back to her car and Ryan shut the door and went back up to Cole.
"Who was that?" Cole asked when Ryan came back into the room with a bag.
"Alexa, she dropped off some of your stuff." Cole nodded and Ryan put the bag on the bed. Cole dug through his bag and saw his clothes and his favorite book series that he has read over a hundred times, 'Percy Jackson and The Olympians'. He smirked and placed the bag on the floor near his sword.
