Immortal Spirits

Chapter 2

"Ahhhhhh!!!" Alexa and Cole screamed at the top of their lungs. It felt to them as if their entire bodies were being ripped to shreds. Cole's eyes glowed a dark purple and Alexa's eyes glowed a neon yellow. A black fox shaped aura grew around Cole and a white fox shaped aura grew around Alexa.

"You're hurting him!" Ryan shouted.

"They knew what they were getting into." Joseph stated. The hellhounds were standing in a triangle as they shot energy at the twins in order to unlock their powers and take control of their fox.

"The foxes are fighting back!" Finn shouted as they pushed more energy at them, making the twins scream louder.

"We should merge!" Gavin shouted and the other two nodded. They stopped shooting energy for a moment before they grabbed each other's arms and merged into one giant hellhound with fiery eyes, black hair, black claws, sharp teeth and huge muscles. This was why they were called Cerberus. Cerberus shot energy at the twins and they screamed louder but their eyes and auras were flickering. With one last blast of energy the twins blacked out and their auras dissipated.

Cole shot up breathing heavy and Ryan ran over to him and pulled him into a tight hug. A few moments Alexa shot up breathing heavily, "holy shit!" Alexa said with a small laugh.

"What's so funny?" Ryan asked.

"That was... Awesome!"

"And they say I'm the crazy one." Cole said sarcastically with a roll of his eyes.

"So do we just have powers now?" Alexa asked as she stood up.

"You always had them. They were just locked away." Joseph explained.

"So no more voices?" Cole asked.

"Yeah, they should be gone if they come back we can help you get control back." Gavin said as he walked back into the room.

"Oh! Mom called and she's pissed that you left in the middle of school." Joseph said to Cole.

"Well she can deal with it. He was probably going to kill someone by the end of they day. People were talking shit. Talk shit get hit." Alexa said with a hand on her hip and a hair flip.

"Your sister is sassy." Ryan whispered into Cole's ear which made him shiver and blush.

"You have no idea." He whispered back.

"We should probably go home before mom grounds you for life." Alexa started walking away.

"I think I'm just gonna hang out with Ryan some more." Cole said softly.

"I don't think that's a good idea." Alexa said sternly.

"Well I don't care! I'm hanging out with the one person who told me I wasn't crazy!" Cole shouted and his eyes flashed.

"Cole calm down." Ryan whispered into his ear. "C'mon lets go." He pulled Cole along gently. Cole followed Ryan to the car, got in and drove off.

"You didn't have to do that..." Cole muttered as he looked out the window.

"Yeah I did. Like I said you're safe with me."

"I know... It's just now what? I have these powers I guess and I don't know how to use them." Ryan grabbed onto Cole's hand and intertwined their fingers.

"We'll figure it out together." Ryan gave him a reassuring smile.

Alexa walked through the front door of her house to see her mother standing there with a glare on her face and her arms crossed. "Where the hell is your brother?"
