Chapter 3 ~First Day of Summer

Yesterday was amazing! My dad is coming to pick me up around 1:00 ish in the evening. So, of course my mom is making me clean my room and spend the last three hours with her. Which I have no problem with! I can't wait to fire up my four-wheeler and feel the wind and mud flying everywhere!! My cousin has already asked me to spend the weekend with her this week! I haven't seen her since last summer! She turns 10 in two weeks! Another sleepover thing to go to... Yay me.. I don't really know her friends that and I'm the oldest. Makes it soooo much better! Hah, sure. "Tay!! Are you ready to go shopping?" my mom asked. "Uhh... I don't have my room clean." "Do you have your clothes on?" she asked. "Yeah!" "Then come on!" she said a bit annoyed.

Ugh someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

We went to Rue 21, which is my favorite store! I bought about six t-shirts, four tank tops, five pair of shorts, and a pair of flip flops. After shopping we went back to the house. My dad was already there. Which made it more awkward...

He was talking nicely to my mom's BF. It shocked me. Forreal. "Hey girl!" my dad called out. "Hiya!" I started to smile. Everything was going great! Last night, today! Perfect! So far... "Well, you ready to roll?" he asked. "Yeah, just let me get my suitcase and we'll be ready to ride, clide!" Yea, I'm cheesy as it gets! "Alright, hurry up! You might have a surprise when we get up at the house." he said excitedly.

A surprise from my father? This shall be interesting! Last time this happen I got a pug. Which was SUPPER CUTE!!! Hehe, those big fat jelly roll! I hope it's something awesome! "Let's go!!!" I yelled coming out of my room. "Come here sweetie!" my mom called me. "Yes?" She pulled me out of the room "Now, if he hurts you or doesn't care about you, let me know!" Shew, she is so paranoid! "Nothing will happen, trust me!" She just kind of looked at me. "Sure..." I then hugged her and walked away "ready to go?" "Been ready" my dad said. We exited the house and got in his truck.

The whole ride there was quite. Not a single sound but the radio. It wasn't playing any good music at the moments. "So, you play basketball, right?" he asked out of nowhere. Yeah I did, I love basketball. "Yeah, why?" this was strange.. "There's a team up around here that is having basketball camp next week. I thought you would like to be in it." Woah... He wants me to play sports. Heck I'm going for it! "Sure! I would love to!" I said getting overjoyed.

I got out of the truck and went to my old bedroom filled with posters of my idols. My dream is to become a singer. Hah, that's not going to happen! When I opened the door there was a note and some keys. I grabbed the note and opened it.

Remember me? Cameron (CamCam)? Anyways I got you a new red four-wheeler! Now we can go riding together up in the mountains!! Hope you enjoys it! Oh I changed my number. The number is below .....

I grabbed the strip of paper stuffed it in my pocket and started to jump up and down in happiness! Cameron was my bestie I met at a park when I was staying with my dad last time. I can't believe he remember me! "Sweetheart, Come to the building for the real surprise." Real surprise? huh? I grabbed the keys that was beside the note and walked toward the building. When I got there it was locked. I looked at the keys I grabbed and it was the lock key. Strange... Well I unlocked the building and there was Cameron standing there smiling with the four-wheeler keys in his hand. "CAMCAM!!" I ran up and hugged him. "TAYBUG!" he yelled hugging me back. "Thanks for the new ride!" I said still excited. "Well, what are we waiting for? I got my dirt bike! Lets go for a ride." he said letting go of the hug. I texted my dad that I was going for a ride. He didn't care, so we went toward the mountains.

~three hours later~

We rode what seemed like forever. It was amazing! We even kissed at the top. Yea, totally not telling anyone about that part. Sadly, it started raining and we went back home riding in the pouring rain. This summer is going to be perfect! Wait! The paper! It's wet now... I got it out of my pocket and the ink was ruined. Couldn't make out a single word! UGH! "Tay?" he asked. Oh wait he's still here. YESH!!! "Hmm?" I said like I didn't do anything. "You okay?" he asked looking worried. "Ohh, yeah I'm going to need ur phone number again" I pulled out the piece of paper and showed him. "Oh, no problem" he then pulled out his phone and gave his number again. "Thanks CamCam!"
