Author's Note: HAPPY TUESDAY! Welcome back!! I know, cliffhangers suck... I mean, ask Ethan LMAO.
I'd also like to take a moment to express my gratitude for this story reaching over 100 reads. It seems like a very small accomplishment to most, but I never thought that I'd even have the courage to publish this story. So thank you very very much, it means everything to me.
Hope you guys like the new chapter!

*Grayson's POV*"ETHAN!" I scream as I witness Ethan's body plummet. I feel the air leave my lungs when I hear his body hit the ground.
"FUCK! MY FOOT! I THINK IT'S BROKEN!" Ethan yells from below.
"ETHAN! I'M SO SORRY, I'M COMING!" I look over the edge to see if there are any crevices I can use to climb down. If only nature was more like rock climbing.
Oh god, am I gonna have to throw myself down, too? Screw it, I have to help Ethan. Come on Grayson, mind over matter. I crawl to the edge of the rock, looking down at Ethan. I close my eyes and let my body hang off the edge. Ethan needs you. I let go and fall a few feet away from him. The impact knocked the air out of my lungs, and my arms and legs sting from the small cuts I got.
I crawl over to Ethan, who has both of his hands wrapped around his foot, "Is your foot the only thing that's broken?!" I quickly scan his body for any other injuries.
"My arm kinda hurts, but my foot feels like it's literally OPEN!" I slowly remove his shoe and sock, immediately smelling an intense aroma of iron. I take a quick glance at his foot and the first things I see are blood and a bone. I don't even know what bone I was looking at, but it was disgusting.
By the looks of it, Ethan won't be able to walk all the way back to the car. I'm gonna have to carry him.
"Okay, Ethan, I know you're in pain but I'm gonna have to lift you up and carry you back to the car," tears start to build up in my eyes. Nothing hurts me more than seeing Ethan hurt. "Oh wait! I brought some water and a towel. Let's clean the wound a bit before I wrap it up."
"Okay... alright..." Ethan pants, slowly extending his leg.
I feel like a doctor in an emergency operation as I empty the contents of the backpack onto the ground. I open the water bottle and slowly pour it over his entire foot.It washes away most of the blood, revealing a smaller wound than I had anticipated. Ethan grimaces in pain, turning away and biting his knuckles.
I grab the towel and slowly wrap it around his foot. God, I have to at least cover that bone — it's so gross.
"AH! Dude that hurts so bad, please hurry," I see tears start to roll down his face. This is all your fault, my subconscious nags.
"Okay Ethan, I'm gonna pick you up now," I say after securing the knot.
I move my backpack to my front and kneel over, slowly helping him onto my back. Ethan grunts in pain as I lift him onto my back. After holding on to Ethan over the side of that rock, he doesn't seem as heavy anymore. I can already smell the blood from Ethan's foot and it's making me lightheaded. I hate blood.
...
After what felt like an eternity, we make it back to the car. I'm definitely not doing any cardio again until next year.
"Hold on, Ethan. I'm gonna let you go to get the keys from the front pocket. Wrap your legs around me," I let go of his legs, my arms immediately feeling like jello.
I unlock the car and put him in the back seat so he can lay down.
"How are you feeling, man?" I ask, scanning Ethan's face.
