Gon did not understand girls.

Sure, he went out on 'dates' with women. He lived with his aunt and grandma all his life, and had also sorta 'lived' with Bisky for a while as well.

But they were easy to handle and understand. He was used to being around women.

But girls? ....Not so much.

He thought it would've been fine, though. After all, Killua's little sister was a girl and he understood and got along with her just fine.

But Gon only got confused when it came to her.

(Name) (Last Name) was the name, a name he would remember for a long time. And let's just say, if anyone confused him more then Killua, it was her.

Now, don't get him wrong. (Name) was in no way a bad person. She was nice, friendly, and caring. She just...worried him sometimes. 

There was the tendencies she had when they were in public, when he walked by girls, or when Killua joked about those 'dates' he had as well. She did act weird around Killua at some point, but that vanished rather quickly. Unfortunately...these other habits would not.

She was rather clingy, and though Gon didn't mind how much she wanted to hold his hand, after all he didn't want her to get lost in the street, she unintentionally forced a habit onto him where he had to hold her hand outside in public. Which was difficult when he was picking up groceries.

Then there was times when she'd be cold at the blink of an eye, wouldn't want to hold his hand or speak or even see him! She would often accuse him of things that weren't his fault, or didn't understand! He disliked that tendency the most.

But what had to be the weirdest tendencies she ever had was the creepy thing she did with her eye.. He didn't understand. Was she blinking really fast? Maybe her eye was irritated?

But despite that, he still enjoyed her presence. She wasn't a bad person, after all! Just....difficult to properly read.

"Gon!! Ugh, are you even listening to me right now?!"

"E-eh?"

Snapping from his stupor, Gon straightened his posture. He lost his thought walking down the street! (Name) probably thought he was purposely ignoring her, and he rather not have her getting angry with him right now.

"You were ignoring me just now, weren't you?!"

"No way, (Name)-chan! I was just thinking about you is all. It's kind of hard to forget you."

He spoke with straight honesty. He was just thinking about her, and questioning and liking her all the same. And what's more, she was often on his mind nowadays. He just didn't know how to place it... But it was really hard to forget about her.

"H-huh? A-are you serious, Gon..?"

He watched as the girl's face went red with flush, and the grip she had on his hand tightened. Maybe she was embarrassed? There was times where'd her face would go really red and she'd get all shy. He found it quite cute, actually.

"HUUUUUH??"

Oh, apparently he said that last part because she began stuttering like crazy, and actually let go of his hand. Holding her face, she began shaking her head rapidly.

"Y-you big dummy! D-dummy head!!"

"Ehh??"

She abruptly grab his hand and began running off into a direction. He was forced to follow.

"L-let's just eat!! And stop saying embarrassing stuff in public, y'know!!"

He inwardly sighed. 

Gon Freecss just really didn't understand girls. So why was he dating this one?

She did it again.

Gon sweat-dropped at how the (Hair Color) girl glared daggers at the waitress, and said her words so coldly. Once again, he defended her.

"(Name)-chan, you don't have to be so mean to her."

Then her eyes were glaring at him, making him shrink back just a little bit.

"Gon, do you know this woman?!"

He raised his hands in surrender, letting her cool off a bit. He really didn't understand why she did this. Seeing his defeated expression, the girl relaxed her face a bit, and rested a hand on his. Smiling lightly, she spoke in a voice to cheer him up.

"Look... I'm sorry, okay? Let's just eat."

"I..still don't know why you're so mean to people.."

"Don't worry about it, Gon!"

And then she did the eye thing again. Shooting up from his seat without a care for anyone else, he pointed at her as if accusing something.

"And what's with that eye thing that you do?! I don't understand!! I don't understand at aaaaaalllll!!"

"G-gon, calm down!!"

When he didn't sit back down, she was quick to stand and give him a light peck on the cheek. That caught his attention. That was...

"...new?"

Her face was flushing, and she quickly sat down. Her words were mumbled in embarrassment, but Gon was too happy to care. Somehow, that small kiss made him feel happy. And relaxed. Even if he didn't properly understand her.

So, he sat back down too. Right as the waitress returned with their orders. And then his flustered girlfriend was gone, replaced with that stone cold amazon from before. Gon sweat-dropped once more.

Killua was right.

He needs to question his interests.
