I once lived

I concealed my pain

And cried out in vain

I smiled in splendour

Which people demanded of my gender

I fought with the demons

To afraid to be alone

I allied with the angels

And rejoiced at their fall

I once loved and lost

My pride alone was a heavy cost

I dreamt dreams

That ended up in empty realms

Once I did

Just like you

I once lived.
