Elyza's POV
We just left the parking lot of six flags and it is currently 3:23 and I am currently hungry. My stomach growls.

"Hungry?" My dad asks.

"Yes very."

"What do you want to eat?"

"Doesn't matter."

"How about pizza?"

"Sounds good."

Silence fills up the car again. Why is it so difficult to keep a conversation up with him. Actually now that I think about it he hasn't asked me once how I am ever since everything happened. I'm not saying that he doesn't care it's just he doesn't talk to me. Does he think that since I said I'm happy I failed that I am not depressed anymore. Gosh I wish that was true.

Logan's POV
I look over to Elyza and she's lost in thought. I can't really read her face expression.

'What are you thinking about?" I ask.

She looks at me. "Oh you know stuff." She replies.

"What kind of stuff?"

"Stuff that's on my mind."

"And what's on your mind?"

She's quiet for a moment and she looks down a little and speaks. "We never really talk." She replies just above a whisper.

I've thought about this before but I just never know how to bring the subject up. "I know" I reply."

"Why though?"

"I don't know but I am not the only one who doesn't talk."

"I know but you are the adult, you are my dad. Do you know that you haven't asked me once since everything happened how I am or whether or not I am okay?"

"Whenever I ask you if you're okay you just close up. So what's the point." I say not meaning to say that out loud.

"Wow. If you're going to have that attitude about it then just don't worry about me. It wouldn't be the first time someone didn't care." She says.

"Ely-"

"Maybe just maybe I'm still use to no one actually caring about me. I mean you don't know what I've been through. You don't understand how difficult to trust anyone. Have you ever thought of that?"

"Elyza I do care for you though."

"I know that but it doesn't mean it's still not hard. But why are we just focused on me? You don't try to talk to me either."

"Well I don't know what to say."

Elyza's POV
I take a second to respond trying to hold in my hurt I speak. "Well maybe this just wasn't meant to be."

He pulls over to the side of the road and stops the car. "You don't mean that."

I shrug my shoulders. "How long till we are back?"

"Do not change the subject!" He yells slamming his hand on the steering wheel.

I flinch.

Of course I don't think that but I can't help but fear that.

I just start crying.

"I think you need to stay at your uncles tonight."

This stings but I know what I said hurt too.

I just nod my head.

"We will be there in a minute. And this does not mean at all that I agree with what you said I just think we both need a minute."

I nod my head. Too overwhemled to talk. We pull into the team 10 house driveway.

"I didn't mean it." I say

"I know." he replies. I get out and follow him. I try to wipe my face.
He knocks on the door. Jake answers. "Hey uh I need a favor." Dad says.

Uncle Jake looks at me confused. He steps outside closing the door. "What?"

"Can Elyza stay here tonight? We booth just need a minute. I don't want to get in to depth about it." My dad asks. I look down.

"Oh okay. But yeah sure." Uncle Jake replies.

"Thank you so much." He says getting in his car and leaving. He doesn't even say goodbye to me. I feel nauseous.

I'm not the only one who noticed either. "Elyza I'm sure he just forgot." Uncle Jake says heading into the house.

I guess its just I didn't think dad was going to actually leave me here. I wonder if he knows tomorrow is my birthday?

I follow uncle Jake into the house.
