It was family day. The day before my brother was finally becoming king. Why did I let everything they say get to me? After coronation I will have Ben throw them out, I can't stand seeing there faces. I put my makeup on and I hear Mal come in.
"You've taken this to far Beth! You knew you looked like Evie and you used it against us! Of course Harry didn't like you, he is still grieving Evie, and we can't be friends for the same reason!" Mal yelled.
"Who are you trying to convince?" I said snidely.
"Your not Evie, so give up this stupid act!" Mal spat. She was in pain. I decided to give up on this thing.
"Fine your right. I'm not Evie, I just said that because I was hurt." I lied. You'd think a year on Auradon and I could never lie again, but it's too easy.
"Your room will be switched tomorrow. Now leave so I can prepare." I said as I pointed to the door. She stormed out. I have to dress options. My midnight blue ball mini dress or my gold dress. I decided that my gold dress would be best as I slipped it on. I did my makeup and I curled my hair. I looked so different. I didn't look like Evie, and I wasn't, I was Beth.
"Ye look gorgeous princess" Said the voice I knew all too well.
"Just leave Harry. I don't have time for this. Your not going to distract me, and you won't hurt my brother." I spat.
"I need to know the truth. Are ye Evie? Or is this all a sick joke, like Mal said?" Harry was genuinely confused. I pondered on what I'd say next, before I was saved by Jace's arrival.
"Beth, ready for some photos? Your mom asked me to get you." Jace said. Jealousy seared through Harry's eyes and I nodded and left we him. I didn't
want to answer Harry's question. I shouldn't have told him in the first place, I did it out of spite. Jace tries his hardest to small talk but he fails. Every time someone walks by, they say I look just like my mother, Belle. I feel like a fraud. My mother is one of the most feared villains in the land, she is the Evil Queen, she is a nightmare for most Auardonaons. Someone snapped me out of my thoughts
"You really look beautiful Beth, and I'm sorry for what happened between us last year, I hope you save me a dance tomorrow." Chad said as he kissed my hand. I feel panicked. I start hyperventilating. He can't do this.........I can't do this.
"Come with me." Chad said as he grabbed my hand harshly and began pulling me. He's too strong. I can't breath.
"Hey, hands off her!" Jay yells as he throws a punch. Jay and Chad start fighting and I still can't believe what's happening. I feel someone gently grab me from behind.
"Are you alright? What's going on? I want to make sure your ok!" Carlos said gently.
"Carlos, its a long story, but you need to know that I wasn't lying I am Evie." I told him.
"I know, I knew since the moment I saw you. The rest of our friends may be idiots but, I'm not one. You and "Beth" act the same, look the same, and like the same colors. You knew what Mal liked and you made sure she was comfortable. That's Evie through and through." Carlos said " Tell me why your so afraid of Chad." I took a deep breath in.
"It all started a couple of weeks after I became Beth."
