Prologue

Los Alamos National Laboratory, New Mexico; May 30, 1944 Major General Leslie Groves and Director Physicist Julius Robert Oppenheimer are talking about the Manhattan Project and progress.

Major General we have been very progressive with Trinity, I believe we will have it ready in a few months.
Dr. Oppenheimer when will the testing begin?
Testing, replied Dr. Oppenheimer.
Well, yes of course Dr. Oppenheimer we must test it before we decide it is ready to go on the battlefield.
Well, Major General I believe testing will take place on or before Christmas.  Like I said we are very progressive and very productive.  Excellent Dr. Oppenheimer I will tell our client that everything is going as planned.
Um Client; Major General I thought the government is funding our research along with Canada and the United Kingdom. 
Of course Dr. Oppenheimer it’s funded by the government but we also need other funding’s.
Oh okay May I ask who is our client?
Major General Leans towards Dr. Oppenheimer and whisper Wayne Enterprise.  

Gotham City, 1st of June 1944 in Wayne Enterprise
In the underground facility of Wayne Enterprise where all military testing is being done, a young 24 year old African American is testing the new machine guns to deploy for D-Day. D-Day is a top secret military defense on attack to the Nazis in World War 2, Normandy only a few organization and military personnel knows about D-day.  Enters a young 25 year old Dr. Thomas Wayne to check on Lucius Fox and the status of every weapons and ammunition
Good morning Dr. Wayne, how are you this morning?
I’m fine Lucius; just having an uneasy feeling about this whole responsibility of our Military defense.  
It’s a huge responsibility and a role that must be taken Dr. Wayne. The whole country depends on you to deliver the best weapons and bring more than half of our boys back home said Lucius.
Dr. Wayne stares at the machine gun checking for errors anything that can be a problem for the Military defense.
Anything wrong Dr. Wayne? 
The coil of this gun isn’t perfect enough. I notice it can jam in the battlefield if they are exposed to water or mud. The coil will easily jam.  Lucius stares at the machine gun and look at Dr. Wayne I have an idea Doctor Wayne.  
I’m all ears Lucius. 
We will cover the coil making it harder to penetrate with water or mud.
A very small detail can save lives. 
I have been telling Maxwell about this simple detail. 
And what did Maxwell respond, said Dr. Wayne. 
Maxwell said it cost too much for something insignificant. Your father didn’t say much about the ordeal, because Maxwell said that you are okay with the design and has no flaws. 
No flaws that are what he said? Okay Lucius I will deal with Maxwell. As for you, stop the production and redesign all our products and put safety details for our boys. 
But, Dr. Wayne we won’t be able to launch on time. 
Lucius it will be on time, for our boys on D-Day.  Now get going Lucius we don’t have much time, I need to talk to Maxwell and my father right now.
Dr. Wayne leaves towards the elevator to confront Eric Maxwell and his father Joseph Wayne. The Board meeting is on the top level of Wayne Enterprise, Joseph Wayne, Eric Maxwell, and other colleagues from the company.
So I heard your son Thomas graduated from medicine and call himself a Doctor now, said Maxwell. 
Ah yes my son, Dr. Thomas Wayne, I love the sound of that. 
So now that he is a doctor who will run Wayne Enterprise when you step down Mr. Wayne? 
Joseph stares at Eric and then he stares at the picture from the wall the portrait of his father Patrick Wayne
Wayne Enterprise will go to Thomas regardless he’s a doctor. 
Eric was disappointed and his face frowns
With all due respect Sir don’t you think you should have a successor? I mean what if Thomas decides to sell the company and moves on from Wayne Enterprise? I have been the up most loyal from the time you took over Sir. 
No, no Eric; the history of Wayne Enterprise will be forever owned By a Wayne. Thomas is a Wayne and his son and his grandson will be in charge of this company.  
But, Sir
Mr. Maxwell I will not have a successor over my company. Once I step down it is up to Thomas to decide the future of the company. I know my son well enough he will never fail me. 
Enters Dr. Thomas storming in the board meeting
Ah Thomas we were just talking about you my son, how are you?
Father; May I have a word with you and Eric alone please.
Okay people we can discuss the matter tomorrow, Said Maxwell. 
Everyone from the board meeting leaves
Okay Dr. Wayne what is the matter that we must attend to you since you disrupted our meeting. 
Shut the fuck up Maxwell and you listen to me you fucken cunt.
THOMAS!! 
What is the matter with you son?
This asshole told everyone that I approved the prototype of our machine guns. The machine guns has flaw and I was forced to tell Lucius to stop the production. 
Dr. Wayne why would you do such thing? These guns must be on board in a few days what the fuck is wrong with you?
What the fuck is wrong with me? You told everyone without my permission that I approved the production of these machine guns. I am in charge of the safety of every American that will use our fire arms. It says Wayne Enterprise not Maxwell. All because of a small minor detail that can cause hundreds if not thousands of lives. 
Maxwell goes up to Thomas
Boy financially we need to save every penny including if it’s a minor small detail that we don’t need. 
Thomas pulls out the machine gun and shows the weakness and flaws of the gun
If water or mud or anything like that will touch this coil the gun will jammed. 
Thomas demonstrates it to his father and Maxwell and points the gun at Maxwell and shoots
As you can see it didn’t harmed you. 
Thomas pulls out the clip shows his father and Maxwell the clip is full As you noticed the clip is full but still the gun jammed. If you had that gun drawn to me I will be dead.
Joseph Wayne gets up from his chair stares at Maxwell and His son  You see Eric my son is fully capable in running Wayne Enterprise. Eric because of you and your minor detail could have killed millions of American troops in the field, and then you lied about my son being ok with the prototype is unacceptable. 
But, Sir
Mr. Maxwell you should know that you better not to run your mouth off on a Wayne. 
But Sir how is it fair? I was by your side when things didn’t go well in Wayne Enterprise and we need to make budget cuts to keep the company afloat. You and I are not fond with niggers and your son spends more time with that nigger Lucius Fox almost every day. 
Thomas grabs Maxwell and nails him on the table
Don’t you ever call Lucius or any color person here a nigger or a Negro or color you called them by their names. You treat them equally I will not tolerate such behavior in my family company. 
Joseph pulls Thomas away from Maxwell 
Son, I am not a fan of these Negro people. But the time is changing and it’s time for me to change as well. Maxwell your fired!! 
Joseph you’re firing me after I have been working with you for so long. For so many years we grow Wayne Enterprise together, we did everything we could to keep Wayne Enterprise standing after your father passed away. 
Maxwell we been together for the longest as colleagues, and yes I understand that but the time has changed. You and I won’t see eye to eye for the future of Wayne Enterprise. Eric you need to move on; live your life, make your own company, you have enough money to do that.
As a friend it is the best of interest for both of us. 
Maxwell walks away slowly turns around
Thank you Joseph for being your friend and help me grow in this company. I may not like niggers but I hope I can change that for business purposes. 
Eric walks away with his head up high, as he approaches the door; two Corporals from Navy and Air Force stand by to talk to Joseph Wayne Mr. Wayne I’m Corporal Lewis from the US Navy, and I’m Corporal Francis from the USAir Force. May we talk in private please? 
We are in private Corporals this is my son Dr. Thomas Wayne.  Both corporals look very surprised to see a young man to be a doctor  Nice to meet you Dr. Wayne, said Corporal Lewis. 
Nice to meet you Dr. Wayne, said Corporal Francis. 
Nice to meet you too, so what is it that so important that we must discuss in private? 
Sit down son they will explain to you why they are here. 
Mr. Wayne we appreciate your service in time of need since the war is going on. As you may know only a few knows about D-Day and the Manhattan Project, and with your investment on the Manhattan Project and supporting our troops with your quality fire arms, U-boats, fighter planes and so on. We came to you with the reports of our project.
Wait, Dad; what are they talking about? I know about D-Day but what is this Manhattan Project that they are talking about?
Son I invested in some properties in Los Alamos, New Mexico. I helped our government to establish an undisclosed base to create a new weapon that Wayne Enterprise and the United States government needs in order to end this war.  The weapon is called Trinity; it’s basically a nuclear weapon that can really make some damage.  As of right now Major General Groves and Dr. Oppenheimer is giving you the progress of the weapon, said Corporal Francis. 
We are basically messengers of Major General Groves, said Corporal Lewis. 
Lewis hands in the document to Mr. Wayne. Both Thomas and his father read the report and Thomas is interested about Los Alamos, New Mexico 
Dad I’m heading down to Los Alamos, you two; are you guys heading down there? 
Both Corporals nodded their heads yes
Son, who will be in charge of the weapon production and shipping while you’re gone? 
Father, Lucius Fox will be in charge of that department, and tomorrow I will address the workers of who will be in charge for the meantime and I will depart to Los Alamos. Dad, please don’t judge Lucius by the color of his skin, said Dr. Wayne. 
I’ll try son, you know it’s hard to change but I’ll do my best.
