Chapter 8

It felt weird living in the unusually, quiet house. I yawned tiredly as I slammed my hand down on the snooze button, before curling back into my warm and fluffy blankets, not wanting to get out of the bed and get ready for school. 

The covers were yanked away from me and my eyes unconsciously snap open, glaring at the person who yanked my warmth away from me. 

"Jake..." 

My voice was so low it was almost a growl which caused Jake to slowly back away in fear with his hands in front of him. 

"Des, think about what you're doing. I was just waking you up for school or you would've been late," Jake fearfully yelled in defense. 

I huffed in annoyance before roughly shoving him out of the room. I began to strip my clothing off me before walking into my closet and picking a pair of jeans and a grey V neck. I grabbed a pair of my black converse and sat them down on the toilet. I turned the water on and waited until it was the right temperature, or I thought at least. I stepped in and squealed in pain and shock. 

I heard footsteps approach the door as I turned the knob to make it become cooler. 

"Destiny?"

I heard the door hit the wall behind it and the curtain was abruptly shoved to the side. My eyes widened in surprise and blood instantly rushed to my cheeks in embarrassment. 

I couldn't form words and began stumbling over my words trying to form a sentence that my thought thought of but couldn't speak. 

"J-J-JAKE!!! PERVERT!!!!"

I grab the closest thing and threw it at him, my eyes shut in mortification. 

I heard a thump and a loud "Ow," afterwards. 

I was shaking. This was so humiliating! I felt tears slide down my face and I screamed on the top of my lungs, "GET OUT YOU PERVERT!!!" 

I hear skittering and the door slamming rather loudly. 

I peek through my left eye and sigh in relief to see he was gone. I slide the shower curtain back into place before continuing my shower. After cleansing myself, I shut the water and stepped onto the plush mat, wrapping a fluffy towel around my body. 

After I dried myself, I attired myself in the chosen clothing. I walk down stairs and eat a quick breakfast of toast and bacon before going back upstairs to brush my teeth. 

"Hey, we should hurry before we're late to school...again," I heard Jake say from behind me. 

The previous events flash before my eyes and I blush a dark crimson. 

"Okay, Okay!!" 

"Bye," Jake and I vocalize in unison, something we always did before we left. 

As we were walking, I could smell something off about the air--it smelt unusually sweet. 

I began to shaking in sudden fear and I quietly whisper, "Jake, do you smell that?"

He grabs me and pulls me against his body. I was too afraid to protest and he lent into my ear and whispers, "run on my signal, got it?"

I bite my lip nervously, but reluctantly nod. 

We continue walking and we were almost to the school when a surge of dizziness surges through me. I automatically grip Jake's shoulder, leaning my weight onto him. He grunts in surprise, but manages to keep me upright. 

He looks in my eyes and I stare at him waiting for him to give the signal. He pulls me close and latches lips onto mine. My eyes widen in surprise, but I reluctantly kiss back. I felt his tongue run across my bottom lip, asking for permission and I willingly accept. His tongue brushed against my own and I could feel the heat rise to my cheeks. 

I kept my eyes shut firmly while continuing to make-out with my brother-like figure. I felt his hand trail down towards my ass and push me towards him. He gently pulled away and began to trial kisses down my jaw to my neck. He kissed my collar bone and peppered my neck in small love-bites. He then found his way toward my ear and sucked lightly on my ear-lobe. 

He whispered, something that made the adrenaline run through my veins. 

"Run," he whispered lowly, causing my heart to pound in anxiety. 

I swiftly turn around and sprint toward the school. I felt a sharp pain across my cheek and felt something thick slide down. A metallic scent invaded my nose, a scent I was way to familiar with...blood. 

Another wave of dizziness went over me, causing me to stumble and trip. A burning sensation flared on my peeled flesh, and I cried out in pain. Tears brimmed my eyes and I unconsciously shift. I howl in pain as another sharp pain stabbed at my hind leg. 

I howl a warning call as black dots invaded my vision. I shift back into my human form, naked and shivering despite sweating heavily. 

"Ja-"

Another sharp pain filled my chest and I lost consciousness.
