Chapter Two 🌻

JOSH

It was Monday Morning, the day I didn't like. Waiting for hours to be allowed into the Gambling House was annoying. I wanted my money now. Not later.

I refreshed myself and got dressed, then headed out the door, to a café for some breakfast.

Opening the squeaky doors, I sat down and placed my order to a guy with ginger hair. He came back a few minutes later and gave me maple syrup pancakes.

I tucked in, not waiting a moment later.
The door opened again, making it squeak as a familiar face walked in. It was Amy, she smiled and sat down in the seat opposite me.

"Hey. Didn't think I would see you here.". She winked, and grabbed a bit on my pancake, stuffing it into her mouth.

We talked for ages, about her work place, what her family was like. I love hearing her for on about her family stories and how she used to do things when she was growing up.

She was lucky, as I never got that kind of childhood. Hints why I'm in a poor place, gambling for money, just wondering why a would be successful woman is talking to me.

She talked to me for hours, until she has to leave. I left a few minutes after her heading my way to the Gambling House to get my earned money.

After a few goes at gambling, I had gotten bored and started to wait for Amy to turn up.

She was taking forever, and I started to think something might have happened to her, or maybe she was just fashionably late?

An hour later, and she finally arrived on stage, singing a different song this time. It still had a groove and by the second verse everyone was dancing up and down.

Grinding against ecah other and having the time of their lives.

I was sat down tapping my foot to the beat with Johnny by my side counting the money we had earned.

The music gave us life, and we loved having Amy giving us that chance to be happy.

She was amazing.
