For after she just witnessed Emma knew walking on the streets of her neigborhood would not service. and she knew were she needed to go and took the metro to the one person who would understand. Ms. Woodcutter.
When she arrived to 915 Cherry Wood Street. she couldn't help but wonder why her mother asked her to come here. it was the complete opposite of her home. two stories instead of one. white instead of baby blue. and a porch. but she needed answers. Emma needed the answers.
Emma stood on the porch hesitant to knock. just knock. she told herself just knock. but she knew deep in her gut telling her to leave. but she ignored it and knocked. knock knock knock. Ms. Woodcutter stood their in the same clothes as she wore to school odd to Emma for a school night. "Emma" she breathed. speechless. "Emma what are you doing here shouldn't you be at home?" she asked. "something happened." Emma stunned as well she didn't know what to say. "come on in honey" she smiled as Emma entered and swiftly closed the door behind her.
Sitting on the most comfy arm chair Emma could ever imagine. she had a blanket covering her shoulders cross legged as Ms. Woodcutter handed her a coffee since she didn't like tea. "Thank you" Emma said taking a big gulp of her coffee. "what happened Emma"... "Well......" after explaining the story of her house mother and escape they both sat their in silence digesting the story. "Oh my God." Ms. Woodcutter looked at Emma. "and she told you to come here." she said as she got up "that's what she said" Emma looked down deep into her coffee mug examining the bottom. "well I'm flatted your mother trusted me..." as she continued on Emma noticed something at the bottom of the mug something white she picked it up with her finger and examined it. then tasted it. Gross. but it tasted familiar. Pills? oh crap. but she didn't feel anything not yet at least. then she pieced it together. she's one of them. then she heard her. "Emma. Emma are you listening?-" "Yes sorry must have dosed off." trying to play it cool. "Well then I guess its working." she smiled and moved closer "What?" "Oh you didn't think I actually cared about you child?" as close as she was she could clearly see the expression on Emma's face "Oh you did..." Pain. Emma hunched over dropping the cup in her hand. she grabed where she was in pain looking a small knife wedged in between her skin. she looked up at Ms. Woodcutter. her face showing no mercy. "Now that I have you I will have a chance of greatness and be admired by all." she twisted the knife. Emma growned in pain hunching over, even more "and I will be Glorious" even in pain Emma managed to grab the coffee mug and hit Ms. Woodcutter on the side of the head breaking the cup with it. and with that she pulled out the knife gathering her things while running out the door.
Again on the streets she official had no one she could trust she couldn't trust any adults. so that ruled out the hospital police and even drunk people for that matter. but their was a few people she could trust but even that if they couldn't help her or even against her she is was truely alone.
not able to take any public transportation in fear of being caught she walked all the way to Kat's house. the whole four miles. then she remembered not only was Kat there but the whole gang. a mini party she wasn't allowed to go to but this was business not pleasre.
she knocked on the trying to hold herself together.
The door opened revealing the relieved expressions of many people "Emma!" yelled Kat from the front of the group she hugged her tightly not a good idea for someone who just got stabed. "we thought you were dead.-" Dean's mother began. "Martha not now." "can I trust you?" Emma asked dizzaly "Yes. you can trust us." softly saying Kay's father. Emma closed her eyes "good." she dropped to her knees. "get her inside!" someone cried. she felt someone lift her up and carry her. "hold on." someone said. "hold on"
She was dreaming she knew it. she saw her memories flash before her. the man and women on the street. the savior she said but of what? her mother. telling her to go. escaping not from one person but two. is there anyone out there I can trust?
Yes. said a voice.
Emma woke her eyes wary and fuzzy. she truned her head trying to remember her last occurrence. Ms. Woodcutter. she stood up but when she did pain shot throughout her body like a thousand needles pieced the brink of her skin. Wait. she thought as she layed back down she lifted her shirt revealing pads and pads of paper. Gauze. weakly she got up. and avoided the pain. ready to get up she looked at the picture on the desk near her. Kat her mother and father. then she remembered. she remembered what happened to her. but could she trust these people?
Emma headed down stairs painfully holding her iron bat she found with her stuff next to the bed. she headed down slowly and quietly until "Emma?" someone Whispered behind her. she gasped and turn around ready to strike when "Emma!" someone said behind her again fearing of getting hurt again she struck hitting dean on the side. then she felt someone trying to pry her off they managed to but fighting. "Emma! Emma! Listen to me!" said Kat's father putting his hands on Emma's face. "no one is going to hurt you here." then she felt dizzy again "Here ill take her Sam thank you." as he lifted her up "Kat bring her a cup of water all the adults come with me. it is time for her to know the truth." as they headed up stairs.
Kat's father layed her on the bed as carefully as he could. and pulled a small but warm blanket over Emma. "Why am I here?" Emma asked trying to coop with the pain. "you came to us." he replied pulling and sitting in the desk chair. "that's not what I mean and you know it." she looked at him with tired, stern eyes but he didn't reply until the adults were in the room. all the parents. Kat's. Dean's. Sam's. and Chris's but not her own. "There are things in this world Emma that you need to understand. what ever they told you in school is wrong.-" "and how am I supposed to believe you?" Emma interrupted him
He looked at Emma confused "Emma who did this to you?" pointing to her wound. "Ms. Woodcutter." she answered. there faces mordifyed while Kat's father looked down dissapointed "Emma. there is a story that you may have heard of. the one of the evil queen...." all she wanted was answers not story's "its just a story." "it was said that one day a savior would one day come and finally end the reign of the queen and restore balence...... Emma that's you." he ended. "what?" she breathed looking around at all the faces. many of them looking down unable to meet her gaze.
"If this is some kind of big sick joke-" her eyes teared up "No Emma..." Kat, Chris, Sam, and Dean walked into the already crowded room. "it's not." finished Dean. "there telling the truth." said Chris. Emma looked at Kat's dad. "Ms. Woodcutter. Abigail. is...was the head lead of the group trying to protect you against the queen if or when she ever found you but since you said she did this to you it seems she become rogue. shes sided with the queen. she was the mole." "and I'm guessing all of you are in the group protecting me. am I right?" they noded their heads.
Emma takes a painful deep breath. Coughing while breathing out. Dean's mother puts a hand on Emma's forhead. "She's burning." as she touches her check. "I'm not going to a hospital after Abigail and my house I'm not very trusting of people right now."
Everyone looked at each other. confused. "what happened at your house?" explaining it to the like she had at Abigail's even more disappoint entered the room. "Emma I'm so sorry." said Kat's mother. "you cant bring her back. and you didn't know. its fine." a tear finally rolled down her check. quickly wiping it away. "We'll help you find that wicked witch. and help you stop her." said Chris. trying to play tough. "well help you get some pay back for what she did." continued on Dean. "guys as much as I want pay back I would rather not fight an all out evil queen with half my guts spilt on the floor. I want to at least get better before I fight." and with that the room quiet down. "I want to know what I'm up against." Emma ended.
