The first word your soulmate said, will appear as a tattoo on your wrist. You cannot see color until you kiss your soulmate.
Thomas' POV
Fuck. That was my soulmates first word. It appeared on my wrist when I was ten. Much older than when most people get their tattoo. It was written in a nice cursive. My parents freaked out. I could understand why. Who would want their child's soulmate to have fuck as their first word? Plus it was tattooed on my wrist, so.
"Hey, Thomas!" My friend Lee's voice snapped me out of my trance.
I looked at the swear word on my wrist and stood up to greet my friends. It's been nine years since that day.
"Ow it hurts!!" I cried in pain as my wrist tightened.
The teacher ran over and others looked at me and said things like 'Why is he screaming?' And 'What's wrong with him?'
I screamed and the pain finally stopped. I looked at my wrist to see a word carved into it. Fuck.
I smiled at my friends. A few of them had already found their soulmates. Like Charles and Samuel were soulmates, Reynolds didn't believe in soulmates because his girlfriend dumped him for her soulmate. Idiot.
"Sorry." I mumbled to Lee as I looked back at him.
My phone buzzed. It was my friend and Reynolds old girlfriend, Maria.
Mari: Hey Thomas theres this rlly cute boy at the coffee shop
Thomas: Cool how cute
-Mari sent one image-
Thomas: Damn
Mari: Come quick!!"Hey guys, gotta go." I said as I stood up.
"Bye." A few people said as I quickly walked to the coffee shop.
The bell dung as I stepped inside. The overwhelming sent of coffee rushed towards me as I sat at Maria's table. She sat there holding hands with Eliza, her soulmate.
"Hey Thomas." Eliza said with a warm smile.
"Hi Liza." I said with a smile.
"Look." Maria said, directing my attention to the boy sitting in the corner.
I looked over to see a small looking boy sitting in the corner, reading a book. I couldn't really tell what he was reading, but he seemed into it. I recognized him from somewhere but I don't remember where. I stood up and walked over to him.
"Hey, mind if I sit here?" I asked with a smile.
He looked up and I saw his gorgeous brown eyes. "Yes, I do mind. But..you can sit here I guess."
I sat down with a smile and looked at him. He looked at me with a confused glare.
"Why are you looking at me?" He asked and he looked away from my eyes.
"You're cute, that's all." He blushed and muttered a thanks. "What's your name?"
"J-James.."
"Do you have a last name?"
He grew even more flustered and nodded "Madison.."
"James Madison. Has a good ring to it." I smiled.
He let out a small smile. "What about you? Your name?"
"Thomas. Thomas Jefferson." I said with a smirk.
"Huh. I feel like I've heard that name before..." James mumbled mostly to himself.
"So, a little awkward question, what was your soulmates first word?" I asked as I played with a straw that was on the table.
James looked down "Its a normal word, like everyone else. Mum. That's it."
Thomas furrowed his brows. "Huh. What was your first word?"
"I'm pretty sure it was fuck, but I've might have said something before that."
I gasped "Wait, your first word was fuck?!"
James looked a little startled "Yeah?"
"You could be my soulmate!!" I whisper shouted.
"Well, I'm not kissing a stranger, so you can take me on a date." James said as he realized the situation.
I nodded and quickly wrote down my phone number. I slide the paper to him and quickly ran out of the shop in happiness.
AN- Sorry if it's messy
