Thomas' POV

I walked into my usual Starbucks and smiled at the usual customers.

"Hey Thomas! The usual?" Eliza, the barista asked me.

I nodded and smiled "You know it!"

As she started to make my drink, I looked over to my usual seat. I got a wave of shock as I saw a boy in my seat. He looked my age. Very pretty. Short curly hair and big brown eyes. He was sipping a tea. I got my drink and sat somewhere else, watching the boy. He was reading a book I couldn't quite recognize.

"He's in your seat." A voice said next to me.

I turned to see my friend Aaron. "Yes, I know."

"Aren't you going to do anything about it?"

"No."

He looked baffled "W-What? Thomas Jefferson doesn't let people walk all over him."

"Yes," I sighed "He's just- there's something about him. I haven't even talked to him, and I feel so... strange."

"Go talk to him then." He said simply.

I nodded and stood up, walking over to him. "Mind if I sit?"

He looked up at me with a bored look. He looked me up and down and gave a small shrug "Whatever."

His voice was so soft!! I smiled and sat down. He looked at me for a second, then looked back at his book. After a minute of silence, he closed his book.

"I had to finish the chapter." He said in his beautiful voice.

"It's okay! I'm Thomas by the way. Thomas Jefferson." I stuck my hand out.

"Nice to meet you." He shook my hand.

"What's your name?" I raised my eyebrow in confusion.

"James." He hesitated a little.

I smiled "What a beautiful name!!"

He squinted his eyes and then a small smile quickly appeared and disappeared on his lips. "The accent. Virginia, correct?"

I nodded "Yup, and proud!"

"You're too cheerful..." He mumbled.

I laughed "I'm just excited! A beautiful boy is talking to me!"

He flushed a dark red "I guess I could say the same thing."

I smiled and he gave me a small smile. Suddenly, his watch beeped "I gotta go. It was nice meeting you." He stood up and walked out.

I was confused for a second before I ran out after him. I saw him walk to the street and call a cab.

"James!!" I yelled, running to him.

He turned around and raised his eyebrow "What are you doing?"

"I didn't get your phone number!" I said taking my phone out.

"7732190." He said slowly as I typed it into my phone.

"Okay! I'll text you later!! Bye Jemmy!!"

"Jemmy?"
