Wednesday

Today after school, Logan and his dad drove to the electronics store. "What are we gonna get, Dad?" Logan asked as they approached the building. "A new TV?"

"Nope, I'm getting you a brand new robot."

"Finally, it's about time." Logan looked up at his dad.

"I'll give that piece of junk, Qwerty, to your brother, Caleb."

"Bet he'll be excited, his, first robot," Logan said. "that'll probably keep him from sleeping in every day."

"Didn't you tell me your hover board broke also?" His dad frowned as they stopped at a whole aisle of brand new hoverboards.

"Yes."

"How about an iHover 12, the latest model," said his dad picking up a box and handing it to Logan.

"This must be the greatest day of my life," Logan said. "Thanks Dad!" Logan is really into technology.

Logan's Dad walked over to the shelf and picked up a skinny box that had a picture of a child riding on a hoverboard. Then, he went over to a man that worked at the store. "Excuse me, can you show me where I can find a robot?"

"Sure, hop on my hovercraft," the man said in a loud and deep voice. "I'll take you there."

Logan and his father stepped on a large platform that suddenly rose out of the floor.

"You might want to hold on tight," the man warned. "This thing goes pretty fast."

"Zippy, these customers are looking for a robot," the man told the robot sitting in the driver's seat of the hovercraft. He smiled at Logan,"Take us to aisle twelve."

"Yes, sir."

About ten seconds later, they were in the middle of an aisle full of boxes of robots.

The man walked off the platform. "Come on I'll show you what's what."

They stepped out and Zippy took off.

"So right here we have the iBot 4 next, the iBot 5, and last but not least the iBot 6."

Logan's jaw dropped and his eyes turned into saucers when he approached the iBot 6.

"So Logan, what do you think, " his Dad asked, "Logan, hey, snap out of it."

"I want, I want, I want bot s-s-s-six," he said while drooling.

"Yeah, I think he wants this one," said his Dad. "Okay, we're getting this one."

Logan started crying. "Thank you so so much. This is the happiest moment of my life."

Logan's Dad picked up a box with the robot in it and said, "Okay, Logan, let's go."

Logan wiped off the tears with his hoodie and followed his dad to the man that brought them in the hovercraft.

The man took out his tablet, "Excuse me, sir, but I'm going to need your fingerprint ID to complete this purchase."

"No problem," Logan's dad pressed his index finger on the center of the tablet and about two seconds later it read, "Purchase complete."

"Okay, Logan, lets go."

They walked to the door and the man waved at them. "Have nice day."

When Logan and his dad got to the door, they gave their boxes to a store robot and told it which car to take them to.

Logan and his dad got in the car and the robot went back to the store when he was done with his job. They told their car, Alex, to take them home and the car slowly rose from the parking lot and took off. They were sitting in a small room in the car, facing each other.
