23. Regrets

We all came down stairs and enjoyed the rest of the party pretending like nothing happened. That was yesterday. Today was a different story. Today I decided to go to one of my favorite music stores before me and Brys left for Pennsylvania tomorrow. It a vintage music store. I haven't been in a while and I miss it so much. I walked in and seen one of the cashiers, Mrs. Owens.

"Hey Courtney. Long time no see," She said hugging me.

"Hey long time no see," I said.

"So what brings you here?" She asked.

"I missed it," I said.

"Well she's all yours," She said extending her arms to the store.

I did a little nod and went to the record section where a boy was standing. I looked through the records until I found. "Not a trend" (*not a real band. At least I don't think.*)  one of my favorite bands. I put one of the records on the turntable.

"You like "N.A.T" too?" The boy asked.

"Yeah! I love them," I said.

"I do too. They are amazing!" He exclaimed. "Do you know Wild Nights"? (*also not real*) He asked.

"No I don't think so," I said.

"If you heard them you would remember them," He said while pulling out a record. "May I?"

"Yeah sure."

He took, N.A.T. off of the turntable and put Wild Nights on. We listened as the record started to play. The song was so smooth and light. I liked it. As the song ended he looked at me for a reaction.

"I like it. How come I'm just now hearing this?" I questioned.

"The world may never know," He smiled.

"Well you got a name?" I asked.

"Yep and I'll assume you have one too." He said.

I laughed, "What is your name?" 

"Carter, Carter Blake." He said.

"You have two first names," I teased.

"Hahaha very funny," He said sarcastically. "Well what's your name?" He asked.

"Courtney, Courtney Ward," I replied.

"Well that...that sounds like a pretty normal name," He admitted. 

I chuckled, "Thank you?" 

"Your welcome. So listen, I know we just met but do you want to go out for tea sometime?" He asked.

"Oh um..." 

"Sorry more of a coffee person?"

"Yes but I..." 

"You have a boyfriend."

"Yes?" I questioned.

"That sounded more like a question," He replied.

"Yes," I said more confidently.

"Well one of you are unsure of what you want so if "yes?" turns into a definite no I'm always here from 3-5 on Wednesdays," He told me with a wink.

I nodded, smiled, and walked away. I walked towards the door and waved at Mrs. Owens.

"Come back soon," she told me.

"I will," I smiled. 

I started to walk back to me and Brysen's house. I opened the door and was greeted by Layla.

"Hi girl. How are you." I asked in a baby voice and rubbing her stomach.

"Hey babe," Geo said pulling me into a hug.

Every since that kiss me and Waleed had I've been super nervous around Geo. Like what if he knows, what if he hates me, what if we break up. I've been driving myself crazy and I can't stop.

"Hey babe," I hugged.

"You look good," He said spinning me around.

"Thanks. So do you," I told him.

He kissed me on the lips and picked me up and I wanted to die. I couldn't even kiss him without thinking about what I did to him. As he picked me up he spun me around then put me down.

"Babe I have a surprise for you," He told me.

Please God no. I thought.

He went into the kitchen and came back with a box with wrapping paper on it.

"Here you go. I hope you like it," He smiled nervously.

I looked at the gift with regret. Regret of what I have done to him. Because I know that when he finds out he's going to hate me.

"But you didn't do anything" a voice in my head said.

"Well aren't you going to open it?" Geo asked. I looked into his eyes. He loved me. "Just open it." 

I unwrapped it and smiled, "OMG GEO...!"

"Yeah?" He said excitedly. He knew I loved it.

"It's amazing," I told him.

It was a camera. A camera that was way out of my budget and  a camera that I had wanted for quite awhile.

"You're amazing," Geo pulled me into a tight hug.

"You know what's really amazing the fact that you kissed one of his best friends and you're acting like it never happened." A voice in my head said. "He spends money on you that he could of use for his self and you're just lying to him. That camera cost $1,600!!!" 

I pulled away from the hug and looked at Geo wide eyed, "Geo. This camera cost sixteen-hundred dollars!"

"I know and this cost 600," He said pulling another box from around his back.

It was a lenses I could tell. I opened it and looked at it. I felt bad.

"What's wrong? It's not the one you wanted? I can take it back and buy you a new one."

"No I just.. Geo I can't take this." 

"Of course you can," Geo said. I shook my head. "Well why not?" He asked.

A tear formed in my eye and my voice came out shaking, "I just can't. I don't want to explain right now."

His voice concerned, "Babe why are you crying?" He hugged me. I felt safe.

"Geo most of my relationships end because of me lying and hiding because I'm scared. I'm scared of people's reactions. I want to be loved, mistakes and all," I told him.

"I love you. When are you going to believe that? I'll never ever let you go. I want you forever," He said passionately.

"Yeah until you find out about that kiss. Once you find out everything will change," A voice in my head screamed.

Chapter 23! I don't know why I always put what chapter it is like if it's not at the top but oh well. Also it's going to eventually go down lol bye. -xo fanban.
