"Lena we're here." Jaime shook my shoulder. I groaned softly.
"Five more minutes." I tried to turn away only to hit my head on the window. "Ow." I whined like a little girl but that only made Jaime laugh.
"Come on sleepy head or else they might throw your luggage out."
He held my hand on the way out, saying something about 'so you don't smack into the door or another person' but my reply was a grumble because I'm even more lazier than I was at the bus station. Those four hours passed by so fast. As soon as the cool air hit my face I looked around more. It was around three in the morning so the sun wouldn't come up for a few more hours yet the buildings that were displayed in front of me were so beautiful. The night life of Chicago was absolutely breath taking. I wish I had a better phone or a camera to take a picture to save it for whenever I felt sad about being stuck. But maybe now I won't feel so stuck anymore. I didn't feel so tired anymore and followed Jaime to go get my suitcase. Grabbing it from the guy who was unloading I walked ahead of Jaime rolling my suitcase behind me, then I heard a *click* slowly I turned noticing Jaime had his phone out. Giggling I gave him a thumbs up and a cheesy smile with my tongue between my teeth.
"If you don't mind, can I put these on Twitter?" Jaime asked me nervous.
"Sure. I don't mind, let's go find a cab and go where your friends are at. I'm sure they miss you." Jaime hailed a taxi and gave him the address of a venue, I was busy absorbing in the scenery that I hardly noticed we were there.
"Wow look how tall that building is!" I said gasping loudly. Jaime took my suitcase telling me that if I don't watch where I'm going with this thing, I'll trip.
"Ey, Hime is that you?" I heard someone shout. Both of our heads turning.
"What's going on Mike." He said giving a one arm hug to Mike I guess that's his name. He was tall, had a lot of tattoos and was tall. Was he like six foot four? Okay that's a big of exaggeration but oh well. Then his eyes fell on me.
"Hey you must be Lena, Jaime has told us all about you." He said earning a smile from me.
"All good things I hope."
"You got it." He smiled. "Anyways I thought you guys weren't supposed to be here until tomorrow?" How did he know I was coming?
"Changed my mind." Jaime shrugged. "Anyways lets go inside, Lena is tired."
"I don't know if you'd get much sleep but okay." Then we followed him to a big bus.
"Sorry about Tony, he's a little drunk and we know how crazy he is when he's drunk." Jaime face palmed before turning to me.
"Don't worry he's harmless." As soon as the doors opened we were greeted by somebody yelling.
"Mike's back with more alcohol! JAIME!" A guy with long hair and tattoos as well, and a piercing on his cheek screamed jumping at Jaime. I couldn't help but laugh at the scene, a grown man jumping on another grown man.
"Tone what do you mean Hime?" A guy came towards the front, Mike went past me. "That's my brother. I'm going to close the door." He whispered to me sending a shiver down my spine. He shut the door and stood there leaning against the wall. "Do you smoke?" He asked.
"Every now and then." I said.
"Want to go have one? Vic and Tony are buzzed so their touching reunion will last awhile."
I smiled at him and followed him leaving my suitcase at the steps hoping no one trips over it. We shut the door and stood by the bus. He handed me a cigarette which I lit when he handed me a lighter as well.
"So how did you meet Hime?" Mike asked taking a drag.
"I was on my way to work in heavy rain and he was standing there in the soaking rain looking for somebody to help him."
"Ah makes sense, you know I'm surprised that Jaime invited you along even if it is until Monday. He never did that before." He tells me, I take my own drag and smiled at the thought of that.
"I don't usually just get up and leave from home but it's the first time being out of that town in three years. I never did it before." I told Mike.
"Damn, it amazes me how people can stay that long in one place. The only place I can stay long enough is San Diego." He said flicking the ashes off.
"Are you drunk too?" I asked him out of nowhere.
"Usually I am but tonight I didn't want to. My girlfriend left me recently."
"I'm surprised you're even telling me this. You just met me." I teased him.
"Jaime is a great judge of character, plus there's something about you that makes it so easy to talk to." I smiled to myself. At least I come across as a good person to Jaime and Mike.
"So did you know who he was right away?" Mike asked taking another drag. I shook my head.
"I found out literally six hours ago, seen his face on a poster with the rest of you. That was after he told me to buy your guys C.D." I giggled.
Mike chuckled along with me before going serious.
"He hasn't a good past with girls. Please try not to hurt him." He said sadly. "I know him well enough that he wouldn't do that you, on purpose anyways."
I suck in a breath.
"I wouldn't dream of it." We finished our smoke and went inside. Jaime was busy talking to Vic and Tony still but smiled to me when he noticed me.
"Here I'll go take this to the back room for now." Mike said grabbing my suitcase and lifting it above peoples heads. A girl ran over to me.
"You're Lena right?" She said happily.
"I am, and I'm sorry I don't know your name." I told her.
"It's okay, my name is Stephanie. I'm Tony's girlfriend." She was a pretty blonde girl, petite like me. Another came over.
"Hi, I'm Lily." Another blonde girl said with a genuine smile. "I'm Vic's girlfriend. We're so relieved that you're here. Being stuck with guys is so annoying sometimes." She said with Stephanie agreeing.
"That must get annoying but I wouldn't know. All my roommates are girls." I told them feeling very welcomed already. I yawned tiredly rubbing my eyes.
"I'm sorry I'm much more fun I think but I'm dead tired." I told them.
"Okay, come on I'll show you Jaime's bunk." Stephanie said grabbing my hand and leading me towards the back area. She slid open a bunk on the bottom. "This is it. We'll catch up tomorrow since we don't do much when they set up the stage and stuff like that." She told me.
"Okay, goodnight and thanks Stephanie."
"You're welcome. Goodnight Lena." She went back towards the front area while I climbed into Jaime's bunk, when he does come to sleep we'll be really close. I don't mind, I just hope Jaime doesn't either.
I didn't even notice I fell asleep because I was kind of awoken when someone climbed into the bunk.
"Sh, it's just me." Jaime said sliding the curtain close. I nodded, moving over to make a more space for him.
"Told you the girls would be happy to have you here." He chuckled lightly.
"I know." I felt his arms wrap around me pulling me close.
"Lena?" Jaime whispered.
"Yeah Jaime?"
"Can I, can I kiss you?" He said nervously.
I was silent for awhile before I looked up at him kissing him on the lips, they moved with my own. I brought up my arm running my hand through his hair. We pulled away and I couldn't help but smile with my eyes still closed. I never thought we would share a kiss in his bunk, hell yesterday I didn't even know he had a bunk to share a kiss with me.
"G'night Lena."
"Night Hime." I said using his nickname for the first time. Then I fell back asleep.
