My eyelid fluttered open as the sudden bright light blinded me momentarily. Rubbing them, i blinked a couple of times before realising that i was on the ground with a unfamiliar man waiting for my reply , staring weirdly at me .
It took me a moment before my memory regarding last night jolted back , waking me up completely .
"Wha- what happened ?" My voice came out sounding more like a question .
I diverted my gaze to my purse which was not far away as i grabbed it and rummaged through the small pouch , digging out for my phone frantically.
"You shouldnt answer a question with a question , you know ? I should be asking you that . If you are looking for your phone , its there . " He scratched his head while pointing at the other end of the road which led to a small cannel nearby.
Dusting the dirt from my legs , i walked towards myphone which was surprisingly still functioning well without a crack . Checking my messages , i realised that i had 32 new texts that i have yet to open along with a fresh conversation with my brother that i don't remember having .
