It had been a quarter moon since the first night of practice, and Harekit could already feel himself improving. He had learned ways to scratch his opponent's belly as he darted under them since he was small enough to do so, and he learned how to confuse his enemies. He was going to start defense moves soon because being attacked was inevitable, and he had to be able to counter it. It wasn't a lot of moves, but they helped. Cats would still come around to claw him, but Buzzardfur would come quickly afterward. Sandberry would visit him too, telling him that Echostar only wanted whats best for the Clan and such things.

Harekit paced across the elder's den, he was restless. He hadn't gotten much to eat, mostly the stale, day-old prey. He would try and use the extra bedding to play moss ball with himself or he would practice the battle moves, but it didn't do much. His eye was getting better slowly, but Buzzardfur warned him that it might not be fully fixed and that his sight in that eye might be slightly blurry for the rest of his life. His ear was fine, permanently scarred and unable to grow new fur. He would feel ghost pains in it sometimes, but they only were there for a second before it went away.

There was a rustling at the camp entrance, and the ThunderClan leader and an apprentice padded in, flanked by a WindClan patrol. Harekit crawled under his nest to keep out of sight, of the visitors and watched. Rainnose, a senior warrior, went to the leader's den to tell Echostar, a few moments later, they both came back out. Echostar jumped onto tall rock and looked down at the ThunderClan leader and warrior.

"What are you doing here, Orangestar?" Echostar asked, looking down at the orange tom. Orangestar just looked up calmly, his eyes giving away nothing.

"I have come to take one of our apprentices to the moonstone so that they will share tongues with StarClan so that they can become a warrior after." He replied, Echostar giving an annoyed hiss. "I thought I told you and the other Clans to cross at the very edges of the border." Echostar hissed, glaring at them.

"We were." The apprentice said, looking up at her bravely, but fear shown in his eyes.

"Then why," Echostar growled, "are you here?" She asked, and the apprentice shuffled his paws nervously.

"We caught them a fox length inside our borders. They told us what they were doing, but we knew you'd want us to bring them here." A tom, Swiftstream, said. Echostar nodded, showing he was correct.

"We are sorry, Echostar," Orangestar said, still looking up at her. "but we must go to the Moonstone. I'm sure you understand." Orangestar said, Echostar scoffed.

"You trespassed into my territory, you will be taken back to your Clan territory, and I don't want to see you or any of your stupid cats near my territory! I don't care if you must go to the Moonstone because unless I say so, you're not going." Echostar hissed at them, then straightened up, removing her hostile demeanor, flicking her tail at the patrol. "Take them back to their territory, and if they step a single paw out of line, attack," Echostar said coolly. "you may go now." She said, and jumped down, and went back inside her den. The ThunderClan apprentice looked up at their leader, obviously scared of what was happening. Harekit slipped out from under the nest, the ThunderClan cats didn't seem to notice, but if they did notice, they were good at hiding it. He watched as the WindClan patrol surrounded the ThunderClan leader and apprentice, and took them out of camp. Why didn't they just stay on the border? Harekit asked himself, before starting wash himself, being careful with his eye and ear. Buzzardfur padded to him, carrying the herbs he gave to Harekit every day. Buzzardfur set them down in front of him; Harekit stopped grooming himself and lapped them up, screwing up his face to the strong taste. Once Harekit finished, he looked up at Buzzardfur.

"Why didn't the ThunderClan cats stay right on the border?" Harekit asked.
"I do not know," Buzzardfur replied, "I just hope that they make it home safely." Buzzardfur finished before padding back to his den. I hope there ok too... Harekit thought as he rolled up some moss into a ball and started practicing his fighting moves on it.
