Thank You, The Millennial Generation

Pure sadness emits from my eyes

Disappointment is seen in my smile

Because,

It's always winter surrounding the mead hall formally known as Earth,

Everyone is a tragic hero now

Wearing the mask of a noble person with hubris

Resulting in something horrid,

Something important has been taken from me,

My identity, my work from school, my friends,

My phone,

My phone,

My phone,

It's all gone,

In a shove

Rude comment

Some exchanged foul language

And an apology by me,

It's all gone in the blink of an eye,

The Millennial Generation is immensely horrifying,

A generation of entitlement

And

No care in the world is seen by the ones who live in it,

Just as the baby boomers saw it,

No wrong in excessive procreation and what it effects,

Another depressing thing is,

No good Samaritans are left

And laziness prevails

But,

Ambition is evident in some,

This ambition is their hamartia

The same as Macbeth's

Resulting in people striving for corruption...

No white roses, no white hearts, nothing pure,

Nothing is good,

In addition to the lack of good in the world,

My trust in people that inhabit this planet,

Is a broken link

Which cannot be mended the same way it was coined,

A scar is left,

On the contrary,

Compassion is felt

For the ones who have to sprint,

To the lowest step of moral standards

And

Do something horrible,

As to steal,

To steal,

To steal,

Jealousy,

Which now results in the taking of possessions,

Something that doesn't equate in my head

Could it be unconnected synapses, maybe?

No, no, no!

Children and teens have spoiled

Past the point of utter decomposition,

It's desensitization in it's purest form

They have turned to savages,

They have turned to savages,

I've turned into a savage,

The world is run by savages!

It's all gone in a shove

Rude comment

Some exchanged foul language

And an apology by me,

My identity, my work from school, my friends,

Are gone,

Are gone,

Are gone,

Something important has been taken from me,

Disappointment is seen in my smile

Pure sadness emits from my eyes,

Thank you America, the land of the free,

The land of the free, freedom,

Freedom, what a controversial thing,

A notion that does not exist,

Freedom: to do whatever your little heart desires,

To do whatever you please

Only if that was reality,

Think immense overprotection,

Think telescreens, tablets, laptops,

Think a total loss of privacy, or what was left,

Is there now no wrong in what is truly wrong?

Sounds like something Orwell might've said,

Moreover, there are unaware people,

Unconscious people-

Orthodox,

This may sound like duckspeak to you

But,

One must remember Big Brother is always watching,

I hope you are wearing the right mask

The mask of a "normal", rule abiding civilian,

Because

Freedom is something made up by the Ministry of Truth,

To further elaborate,

Thank you humanity

For taking my identity...

One must be self critical now,

Think hard, remember all,

And

Think of what one could have,

Should have changed,

Please reflect on the little things,

Because

Once you forget them,

They are gone.

They never existed,

Like the harsh winters in Florida.

As I begin to reflect,

On less happy times

The wicked actions inflicted upon me

Must have started as a notion

And,

Turned into a reality

But,

Resulted in the thieves making me

more of a stranger to myself.
