 Mark's POV

My head is thumping, my heard is racing but my eyes are closed. The stench of alcohol attacks me. It all comes back to me, the party, the club and most importantly the girl. I roll out of bed, furiously running my hands through my hair. I’m at home and there’s nobody here. So there's no way had I slept with that chick. I can’t forget her face but I feel like we had a connection, it was like I had seen her before. I shook the thought out of my head and rolled out of bed. I can't remember coming back last night but what I did know was I had a serious hangover which needed some medication right now.

“Yo Nate!” I hollered, from the doorway of the living room. I chuckled abit and left to the kitchen after seeing his ‘fuck off, I’m scoring’ expression. As usual he hooked up with a girl last night. Why they’re not in his room, I don’t know. Noticing I didn’t have my phone, I clicked on the coffee machine and jogged up the stairs. Finally I found it, for some reason it was in my shoe. I must have undressed myself yesterday. I unlocked my phone quickly, hoping to have some texts or something but nothing. Although I had a picture on my screensaver of myself and a girl. A girl who looked familiar. Dark brown hair, beautiful, tight little dress. I could recognise those eyes anywhere. Nearly seven years ago I saw her. She was a minor, nothing happened. But she had a fire, a fire I couldn't forget. Something I know I would always remember. I remembered I had her number for last night and I knew she had the photo's too.

Nate and I played basketball in the Paralympics, so we lived together. Yesterday, we won. Therefore, our intentions to get pissed, worked. I  checked my gallery and instead of the pictures with Nate at the courts, I had loads with the same girl as my screensaver.

The girl who somehow seemed to drive me crazy, the girl who intrigued me the minute I saw her. The girl who made me want to risk everything. I haven’t’ seen her in over seven years. I’ve changed and who has she. The memories of last night came flooding back and for a minute, I realised maybe it was just meant to be. Her short, slim figure swaying along with mine. The kiss. Holy shit, I kissed her. It was angelic. The way her tongue explored mine and her sweet smooth lips fitted perfectly against mine.

I remembered taking her phone and calling myself so I had her number. I guess I did have some common sense last night after all. I called the number back multiple times but no answer. I wonder if she’s realised it’s me. I quickly typed a quick text.

To: Gabby

Check your photos. Don’t scream.

Hi, by the way.

I went back downstairs, remembering I had the coffee on. I walked back into the kitchen to find Nate semi-nude leaning against the surface and a girl in just a long t-shirt against him. She turned her head to face me and all of a sudden her face fell. Obviously she knew me, she did look familiar. Her light chestnut hair dropped just below her shoulders and her eyes sparkled.

“Mark?” she stuttered, slightly backing away from Nate.

“Wait you know each other?” Nate started. “Mate, please tell me you didn’t bang her?”

“I don’t think so, did I?” I turned to face her. Her face went pale and her jaw had dropped.

“No! Ew, you asshole!” she spat. “I met you at wheelchair basketball! Gabby’s friend. I’m Charlotte.” My heard came to a halt at ‘Gabby’.

“Wait, you remembered me after all this time?” I questioned.

“Actually, yes. We saw you on TV yesterday. Hang on a minute, you remember Gabby?”

“Oh, actually I was with her last night, but how could I forget her.”

“Hang on, who’s Gabby? And why am I only finding out about her now? And what about…” Nate questioned, just before I cut him off.

“Gabby is Charlotte’s friend.” I nodded at her, she give me a weak smile and continued to type something in her phone.

“So how did you get both me and Charlotte home?” I asked, changing the subject.

“Well I dropped you and then went to pick up Char from the club, but she was getting dragged out by two other hotties. So I followed her home and picked her up from her window. It was like total wipe-out all over again.” He mumbled, earning a glare from Charlotte at ‘two other hotties’.

"Wait how did you meet them at Wheelchair Basketball?" Nate asked, confused. I could see Charlotte looking compltely embarrassed by her lack of clothes and everything which had happened. I would be lying if I said I wasn't completely confused and shocked too.

"So about seven years ago, when we were going out to schools. I went to their school. I met Gabby and did something stupid, I made contact but I realised I was being stupid. She was a minor. Nothing else happened until last night." I explained, earning a confused look from him. Before he could ask anymore questions the door bells started to ring continuously.

The bell continued to ring and they didn't look like they were in much of a hurry to answer it which meant I had to. I glared at them both and walked over to the entrance. The door swung open at the unleash of the lock and there she was. There they were. There was a girl in the middle, I can’t remember her name. Black hair, sweatpants and a t-shirt. I laughed a little then turned into a cough. Before I could even study the third girl or say anything. I felt her hand glide across my cheek. The burning sensation tingled and my mouth dropped. She ran away. No explanation she just ran.
