Seven Months Later – Gabriella’s POV
“Jesus Christ Mark, will you hold this baby. I’m going bloody insane. This dress is cutting my damn circulation off!” I screamed, handing Mark, Ashton. On the 23rd of July, one day after my due date, I went into labour and had a baby boy. It was painful and I swore I would never have another baby. I was in labour for thirteen hours. Thirteen freaking hours. Although I had Mark next to me, holding my hand the whole way through I could have sworn I was going to kill a bitch. Lottie and Nate came when he had been born and brought balloons and presents. The nurses wouldn’t allow them in first because they had Aiden with them, which just left Mark. Aana was still in Barcelona, the last time I had spoken to her was a few days prior to my due date when she wished me luck and apologised for not being able to be here. I totally understood. After ages of trying to decide we named our baby boy Ashton, after Mark’s grandfather.
Today was the day of Lottie and Nate’s wedding. About a week after the accident, Nate popped the question and of course she said yes. Five months after that, Lottie fell pregnant. They wanted to get married before the bump began to show. Unfortunately, Aana said she couldn’t make it because of work and unfortunately again, Joe could but fortunately, they wouldn’t see each other.
I handed Ashton to Mark and sorted out my dress, making my way next door to Lottie’s room. The wedding reception was being held in one of London’s best hotels, The Savoy. It’s central London so instead of wasting money on one of the rooms, we were all getting ready at Nate’s and Nate was at Joe’s. Luckily, Mark had dropped by to pick up Ashton. Lottie looked beautiful and she hadn’t even put her dress on. Nate had hired a professional make-up artist and hairdresser to the house. Her make-up was done to perfection, even Aana would be proud and her brunette locks were pulled up in to a loose curled bun.
“You look beautiful Lotts.” I grinned, picking up the packet of M&Ms from the side and taking a handful. I may not be pregnant but damn, I still crave these things.
“So do you. Those dresses are beautiful on.” She said, feeling the material of my dress. Because Aana couldn’t come, she insisted on choosing bridesmaids dresses, although she wasn’t going to wear one. Lottie and Nate had chosen a plain white and silver theme and Lottie was wearing traditional white so Aana chose white diamante maxi dresses. Lottie was worried they’d look better than her dress but now she’s put it on and comparing the two, nowhere near. Lottie’s Mum had just left to check up Nate and the guys and get Aiden dressed. This left me, Ron and Lottie.
“So Ron, what’s the deal with you and her brother?” I asked, pulling the bottle of vodka out from the gift box Aana had sent.
“Gabs where did you get that from, you donut?” Ron asked, avoiding the question.
“Aana sent a gift box with Lottie’s lace garter, two bottles of flavoured Vodka and loads of chocolate.” I replied, taking a swig and opening a bag of chocolate. I grinned and handed it to Lottie who was shaking her head at me. I punched Ron in the arm and gave her a stern look, indicating for her to tell me before I slapped her. Since my wedding, Ron had been distant and quiet. She forever had her phone in her hand, always accepting phone calls in secrecy. We’re not stupid, we’ve been through this. Of course it all leads to males. It ALWAYS does. Just as she thought I had dropped the subject and began grinning at her phone again, I kicked off my heels, snatched her phone and ran straight to the bathroom, making sure to lock the door as soon as I was safely in. I ignored her knocking and opened up her text, grinning as I did. Luckily this dress was spacy; otherwise I’m pretty sure she would have crushed me, if she caught up with me that was. My eyes wondered over Jake’s name before I built up the courage to look at the messages, I shortly wished I hadn’t. Reading their banterous flirting was making me cringe. All I know is she’s meant to be meeting him round the back right now, little fucker. Judging by their messages, I’m pretty sure they were messaging 24/7. I quickly cleared the history and unlocked the door, faced with a stern faced Ron. Before she could punch me or shoot profanities at me, I dodged her and ran straight down the stairs to the back of the house, making a stop at the cabinet of toys. I grabbed the little blue water pistol, filled it up and made my way to the back of the house, weapons at the ready. I could hear Ron’s footsteps behind me so I know she had probably read the message and knew where I was. Before she could do anything, I ran up to Jake, who was facing away from the door and covered his eyes with my hands.
