Chapter seven
NASA ilalim ng puno si Lee. Doon sila madalas mag hang out ni Andrew. Nakita niya si Andrew dumarating kasama si Ziggy. At walang dala si Ziggy si Andrew lahat ang may dala. And they were both laughing while walking.
It was really painful that her first love was belonged to someone else.
Tear-eyed ay sinundan niya ng tingin ang dalawa. Tahimik siyang naupo sa tabi niya. Napapiksi siya ng humawak ito sa balikat niya.
“Lee, ako ito si Andrew.” Lalo siyang napahagulgol ng malaman kung sino iyon.
“Bakit anong problema?”
“Hindi mo gustong marinig kung ano ang problema.”
“Paano kung gusto ko?”
“Hindi mo magugustuhan.”
“Gusto ko.”
“Mahal kita, Andrew, kahit ang sakit-sakit na. kahit anong gawin mo hindi mo nakikita yon. Dahil para kang kabayo na nakatakip ang mata. Dire-diretso at walang nililingon. Manhid ka rin. Pakiramdam ko laging nawawala ang puso ko, dahil ikaw lang ang dahilan kung bakit tumitibok ‘to.” Humikbi siya.
“Ito ang huling beses na sasabihin ko ito sa iyo at kakausapin ka. No hard feelings at kakalimutan mo ito at kakalimutan mo na kilala mo ako.” Humikbi uli siya.
“Lalayo ako para sumaya ka. Alam ko maglalaban pa tayo-”
“Intramurals.” Putol nito sa sinasabi niya.
“Kung sakali na mag-one-on-one tayo… hahayaan kitang manalo. papatalo ako.”
INTRAMURALS: SCORE: 48-50. nahalata na ni Lee na sinasadya na nito ang mga tira. Pagod na rin siya. 48 ang score nito 50 ang kanya. Second half na.
“Last ten seconds…” ten,nine,eight,seven,six,five,four,three,two,one….
Engk!<buzz> Lee Concepcion wins!
“I want a re-match!” deklara niya.
“But you win, Ms. Concepcion. Why?”
“Ask Andrew!”
INTRAMURALS PAGEANT:
“Define the importance of family.”<Ziggy’s question>
“Family is the one who was there to support you. Shelter you gives you clothing and takes care of you. That’s all thank you.”
“Thank you, Ms. Mendoza.”
“Now, may I call on last but not the least, Ms. Concepcion. Your question Ms. Lee… define love.”
“Love… love is the most beautiful feeling that you can feel. It is the thing that can make you happy, smile, laugh, and contented without hardly thinking about sex. It would hurt you but eventually you will discover that pain caused you to be happy. Also love is like a disease but all I hope it is not contagious. That’s all and thank you.” Isang malakas na palakpakan.
“Thank you very much, Ms. Lee. That was an awesome answer!” the host commented. “We have the judge, the jury and the student voting. We just didn’t base the winners to one side. Since this is the final round we only have two candidates.”
“hoo! Woohoo!” hiyawaan ng mga tao.
Abu’t- abot ang kaba na nararamdaman ni Lee. She can’t afford to lose or she will be a loser to Ziggy.
“Ah, the average score of 96.73%. and the second place is 89.61%. may I call on the princess of the night…. Is…. (drum roll) is…. (drum roll) Ms…. Ms. Lee Concepcion! It is the first time in the history to have an average of 96.63%.”
Bakas sa mukha ni Ziggy ang pagkagulat dahil sa pagkatalo.
“I can’t believe this! I only got 89.61%?! That’s not true! Someone had-”
“Had what, Ziggy? Ashamed to lose by a nobody boyish girl? Well, it just show that you’re really a loser.”
ISANG umaga sa pagising nila maraming bagay ang nagbago. Nag-decide si Lee na ang dapat na lang niyang mahalin si Tim.
