Fade Away

Time froze,

As I looked up at the sun,

Feeling its warm love against my skin,

Wishing it could love me a bit more,

Setting my body in flames,

Maybe then,

I'd feel strong enough.

I look into the horizon,

My feet sinking into the sand,

The waves clash,

An alluring dance,

And I start stepping closer to the sea,

Hoping it can lead me,

Away from the storm inside my chest,

Into the bottomless pit of tranquility.

Yet,

No matter how much I yearn for this,

I'm trapped inside a glassed sphere,

So fragile,

So suffocating,

If it shatters,

I will too.

How wonderful would it be,

If I could close my eyes,

And fade away.
