Austin or Ryan

I woke up with a bright light in my face. It was Austin’s phone. September looked at me “Wait when did you get out of the hospital” he looked at me like I was crazy “Like 3 weeks ago” he said “No you were there today it’s the 21st remember” he shook his head “No its not you were in a trauma induced Coma for about a month”. I gaped at him “No way how did I do that” he held my hand “The day I lost my babies you passed out from what you were processing and went into a coma”. Austin pulled me into him “Don’t ever do that I thought you died. Your heart stopped 4 times” he said.

A doctor stepped into the room “So I see you’re awake. You can leave today if you want but you will need medicine. But these boys have already gotten it for you so all you have to do is check out” he left the room smiling. I got up and looked around wondering what happened while I was in a coma.

After I signed a few papers and had the doctors check me one more time just to make sure I didn’t have any brain trauma I left. Austin wouldn’t say anything to me and September kept giving me angry glances. I got into the car not saying anything and looking outside. “So who is Callen” Austin asked looking at me through me mirror “Nobody” I said in a whisper. Austin slammed on the brakes I hit my head against the window “What the hell” September yelled. “Callen is some guy you said before you woke up today don’t play dumb with me” he said angrily. “Callen is the dead person I talk to inside my mind” I said truthfully “What?” Austin and September asked at the same time. Callen was a kid in my class who died of accidental suicide when i was 7. He has talked to me ever since.

“I will explain later but my head hurts so just drive and get me home”  I lied.

The rest of the drive was silent and nobody looked at each other.

Austin pulled into my driveway and parked the car. I got out and kept my head down as I opened the front door. My dog greeted me with a note attached to his collar.

Hello sweetie your father and I have left for a week with your sister and brother. Make sure you take your medicine and hope you get better we love you.

I groaned and sat down on the couch with my dogs head on my tummy. “Hello beans how are you” I asked rubbing behind his head. He barked at me probably saying ‘good’. I heard a car door slam and heavy footsteps coming to the door. I got up and looked through the peephole to see Austin and Ryan. Austin banged on the door, I opened the door quickly “Hey guys what’s up” Austin gave me an evil glare “Chose right now” Austin said “What do you mean” I asked. “Chose me or Ryan” Austin said starting to get angry “Austin I-“Austin stopped me before I could say anything else “Fine chose him see if I care” he said and turned around “BUT I CHOOSE YOU DUMBASS” I screamed. He turned around and ran back to me I rolled my eyes. Ryan hugged me one more time before going back to his car and waited for Austin. Austin turned around I motioned for him to come back. I looked down at my feet wondering why he asked me to choose. His arms wrapped around me pulling me close “Why did you think I wouldn’t choose you, your my boyfriend” I said looking into his beautiful eyes “Because I heard you two used to date and I got a tiny bit jealous. Anyway I have to go Ryan and I are going to a friend’s house” he pulled away and kissed my head.  I watched as he walked away from me and got into the car with Ryan. I closed the door then laid down on the ground falling asleep.
