YouTube Crush

We are going where?!

  "What's up you guys my name is Entoan and today we will be playing..." I sit at the edge of my sit anxious to watch my favorite YouTuber and unrealistic crush at work. My one earbud that isn't in is dangling and hits the sit when I move- it's quiet annoying.
   I am waiting for my best friend, Nicole, at a restaurant that is too fancy for me, money and the atmosphere wise. Soft classical music in the background, dim lighting... it's a restaurant that I don't feel very welcomed at. I would rather be at McDonald's right now eating a cheese burger and fries. The waitress obviously thought that it was wrong of me to be watching YouTube in a setting like this, but I don't care.
    Nicole made me come because she has a big surprise and she wouldn't tell me unless I came. As I watch, Nicole walks over and sits down, She doesn't say a word because I didn't notice her, I am tuned in to the laughter of the man on the screen.
   "You're still fantasizing over him?"her sharp dark green eyes staring in my glasses as if she knows everything about the world, Her eyebrows rise in suspension. Her short light brown hair is slick and shiny that looks good with her formal casual clothes.
   I look at her and quickly turn off my phone and wrap the earbuds around my phone, I throwing it in my purse. In the same Motion I fix my glasses and push back my dark brown hair but the curls refuse to be hidden and slings back.
  "What are you talking about?" I say as I scoot farther away from the edge of my chair where my back touches the other end.
   "You know what... or who I'm talking about. You can't hide it from me. I could see the glare of him in your glasses and how you act even when you watch one of his videos. Why don't you just stop hiding it? It's obvious that you have feeling for him though you have never met him." She smiles at me because she can see that I'm trying to hide that I'm blushing. I quietly cruse glasses and me not being able to see without them.
    I swallow my feeling in denial. "It's just a little crush, It should be gone in no time. Plus I don't even know this guy on a personal level, Also he doesn't even know that I exist. I have 0.01% chance that if I did meet him that something would happen." I sit a little lower in my chair knowing that all the words that came out of my mouth is true and I wish it wasn't. I look down at my old worn out converse and start to think about how I'm not good enough for Entoan.
Nicole watches me sink lower in my sit and loses the smile on my face. I look up at her and realize that we were here to talk about something. I sit back up in my sit and scoot closer to the table.
"Anyways, enough about that. What is the surprise and why did you make me come here. You know I don't like fancy things."
"Um..."
"Excuse my ladies. Are you ready to order?" The waitress looks at me and back at Nicole. Nicole smiles and picks up her menu.
"I think I will try something new this time. I will take your...." All voice slowly Fade away like someone has slowly turned down your music in your car. I start to think about what I said again about not knowing Entoan. It haunts my mind while Nicole orders.
"Ma'am."
"Maddy? Hello, Maddy." I snap out of my little daze to see Nicole waving her hand in my face. I look at Nicole and then the waitress and smile. I apologize for not paying attention and pick up my menu.
" I think I will take the same thing as her." I hand my menu to the waitress and she walks away with a smile. I look back to Nicole who is searching for something in her purse.
" So anyways, why did you make me come here." I watch her as he pulls out a I have a envelope and hides it in her lap.
" Because you never want to go to a fancy restaurant with me so I used it to get a free dinner and to get you out of the house." She smiles with a little mischievous twinkle in her eye. I freeze and I realizing what she is doing. I look at her with a death stare.
"What.... when you find out what I got you will want to pay for me."
"It better be something that will blow my mind or YOU will be paying. Deal?"
"Deal because I'm going to win." She smiles from ear to ear and hands me the envelope. I slowly take the envelope and look at Nicole who is still has happy as can be, and back down.
I slowly peak the top layer off not knowing what to expect. When the flap if opened and I can see a little bit of the present I pull it out. Before I look at it I lay the envelope down on the table. I look down to see two PAX east tickets.
A big smile comes a crossed my face I look up at Nicole but I have blurred vision from the tears that have swelled up in my eyes.
I wipe the tears of joys from my eyes and clean my glasses. I can't stop smiling and I have no words. Again, I try to see Nicole cross the table and she has a smile that lights up the whole room.
"Me and you are going to PAX east. Together." She says with a squeal. "It's in Boston, Massachusetts. We leave in 3 weeks, so cancel all of your plans." I'm still speechless.
I manage to squeeze a few words out, "Where did you get these? How did you do this so close to PAX?"
"I've had them for while but you kept refusing to go out to eat with me! But we are going to take a road trip up there which it with take about 15 hours from Lawrenceburg. Why does Kentucky be so far away from Massachusetts? anyways we will be staying in a hotel... do you like it?"
   "Do I like it?! I love it!"
   "Good! So you have to pay for my dinner now." I still stare at the tickets. The waitress come over to the table and passes us our food. The whole time we are eating Shelby rambles on about something that happened at her college but I didn't know what she was saying. I was too busy wondering if Entoan is going to be there at PAX.
