The sparkle in Alyona's oceanic eyes when they reached the Aquarium literally made Froy unable to take his eyes off of her. The dim lights shone down on her to illuminate herself, causing unknowingly radiate all her pulchritude. And Froy wondered if it was possible if he liked the brunette girl within the span of three weeks after their first meeting. He wasn't sure of his feelings, but, he knew for sure whenever he had a chance to meet her, Froy wanted it to last forever – he wanted to keep her all to himself.
However, he still remembered vividly when Channing said that she was very vulnerable at the moment – that the only reason Channing allowed him to take her away was because she needed it. Alyona needed a distraction to get rid of the fatigue that corralled her mind and body lately. And Froy was dying to know what caused of it?
But for now, he might not have to worry about it because he wanted to spend the rest of the day with her. And seeing her smiling and laughing was enough to make his consternation die down.
"You're staring." Alyona broke the silence, eyes still scanning the menu. "Is it a bit rude?"
"Sorry." Froy cleared his throat and directly averted his gaze away. "Not my intention to be a creep."
"Then, whose intention is it?"
"Me." He blurted out. "Wait, no! It's the other side of – ah forget it."
Alyona laughed, shaking her head lightly. "You're funny when you're nervous."
"I'm not." Froy defended, a goofy smile adorning his lips. "Just a little bit distracted by a pretty girl in front of me."
Alyona was taken aback by his words as a tint of pink started to rise up on her cheeks. Stop acting like a child! Be cool for only a day. Alyona inwardly scolded herself. What was so special about it? He could probably tell that to all the girls. However, deep inside her little heart she parried that statement, because she felt that Froy wasn't a kind of fuck boy out there.
After a few minutes they enjoyed their dinner and chatted, the pair decided to go to a night carnival. There was a lot of laughter and jokes going on between them, and it caused Alyona to forget about everything – about how damaged she was inside. It was the first time again she could have laughed freely and her thoughts were only invaded about having fun.
The empyrean was a silent witness how much she felt like the girl she used to be. Suddenly, she felt alive and no longer felt dyspeptic. A glimpse of hope that she could have her previous life again had grown from the bottom of her insentient vigor. All thanks to Froy. Maybe it sounded too excessive or strange, but it was the truth. For three years separated from family and friends and could only communicate through text or Skype, it was equitable if she never felt this cheerful.
Froy held her hand tightly while they were playing skates, and at that moment, Alyona looked up and smiled. "So, this is what genuine happiness feels like."
And the most important thing for her, at this point, Froy had managed to make her feel normal again.
