The Choice

Chapter 1

Eunwoo POV

"What a beautiful day" I said to myself. I was walking along a path in the city park. The cherry blossom trees were in full bloom and the air had a sweet frangrance. I sat down on a wooden bench and closed my eyes. I breathed in the scent of the flowers and felt entirely at peace. My life was just perfect at the time. I had good grades and my parents let me get my own apartment. I had a part time job that paid well and I had a wonderful girlfriend. Jamala really was the perfect girlfriend. She was cute and funny. She made really bad jokes but I loved them. We met at school and we got very close with each other. Two months ago, she took me to a fancy restaurant and asked me to be her boyfriend. I accepted immediately and my parents were very supportive. We have had no fights and all she does is shower me with love. Sometimes I wonder if everything is too perfect but I remind myself that I should just be happy.

I was so deep in thought that I didn't even realize that someone was watching me until I felt them sit down next to me on the bench. I opened my eyes and looked at them. It was a very cute boy about my age with a bouquet of flowers in his hand. He had brown hair and he had a very handsome face. He was staring at me and then suddenly smiled.
"Here, these are for you." He said while placing the flowers in my lap.

I looked at him dumbfounded and started to ask him why he gave me flowers when he frowned all of a sudden got up and started to walk away.
"Wait!" I yelled, "Who are you?"
I thought he was just going to keep on walking away, but he turned around with a huge smile on his face.
"I think you'll find out soon enough!" He yelled and then ran away.

I was so confused and I couldn't stop thinking about the boy all day. When I looked at a tree, I thought about him. When I looked at flowers, I thought about him. Everything reminded me about him! I decided not to tell my girlfriend or else she would get mad. She's a very nice, charming and smart girl, but she gets jealous easily.
I was just thinking about her when I realized that I was still holding the bouquet of flowers that the boy gave me. I walked over to a nearby trashcan to throw them away. I held the flowers over the trash, but my hand couldn't let go, I wanted to keep them for some reason. I told myself to forget about the boy, but my brain wouldn't listen. Finally I gave up and walked away with the flowers still in my hand.
