Will Mystery had told Thea that he would send an I.I.S agent for the girls. The agent would take them by helicopter out to the open sea. There, they would connect with Will, who would be waiting for them on a submarine. Then he would take them to the secret location of the I.I.S.
It might sound like a lot of steps but it was necessary to keep the location of the I.I.S and the Seven Roses Unit a secret. If word that fantasy worlds really existed fell into wrong hands, it could be disastrous.
The girls arrived at the heliport packed and ready.
"Do you have your pendants?" Thea asked them.
In reply, they all showed Thea the roused - shaped crystal pendants that Will given them. Each pendant was like a personal I.D card. It contained information about each person and allowed her access into the Seven Roses Unit.
"Keep in touch over the week." Thea requested. "I'd love to hear how things are going."
"Of course we will!" Paulina assured Thea.
The girls said good bye and boarded the helicopter. It took off with a rumble and flew into the blue sky above Whale Island.
Thea waited until the helicopter disapeared from the view before she went back to her office. She was excited for the 5 friends! She knew they would do well in the course, and would probably have a lot of fun too.
Thea had no idea that they were in for much more than a class, they were headed for another adventure! It began when, after flying across the ocean for an hour, the helicopter descended towards a platform on what looked like a large oil rig.
"Aren't we meeting Will on the submarine?" Collete asked the I.I.S agent piloting the helicopter.
He shrugged. "All I know is that I'm supposed to bring you here."
The friends exchanged confused glances.
