Chapter 1- Those are just Fairy Tales

----------------------------------------------

"Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!" My little sister said, jumping up and down on top of my sleeping body.

I slapped her arm that was pushing me down, more into my bed.

Groaning, I sat up. Really confused. "Rachel, what do you want?"

"It's Easter!!" She screamed, running down the hall.

It's Easter! I threw off my covers and ran downstairs.

My sister was reading a book about the different elements. My mom looked at me surprised. Probably because I'm up so early.

"Good Morning, Annabeth. Your basket is over there." She pointed to our dining room.

I grinned. Even though I didn't believe in the Easter bunny, I still looked forward to Easter every year--especially for the basket.

I got a Hollow Dark Chocolate bunny, (Can't forget that I'm Lactose in tolerant) A thing of peeps (Yuck), Reese's peanut butter eggs and a lot of other stuff.

"Woa...." I heard my sister mutter. I walked on my knees over to her element book and saw that certain people were born with some sort of power. There was water, electricity, Earth, Air, Fire, and some others that I couldn't see.

I rolled my eyes. "Oh please. Those are just fairy tales." I said.

My mom glared at me. "Oh- Ok well....um...I have to...BYE!" I ran, grabbed my chocolate bunny and dashed upstairs before my mom could say anything about no tv.

Oh, I'm sorry. I haven't introduced myself yet. Well, I'm Annabeth Normal--yes I have realized my last name. It's pronounced Norm-Al. Like how you say Al.-- I'm in the 6th Grade, I have a little sister that is in 1st grade, and an older sister in 10th grade. So, I'm pretty much the middle child. Some people think the middle children are always the rebellious ones. But I don't think I'm that bad. Anyways:

I quickly shut and locked the door behind me, and dusted my hands off in a "Like a boss." kind of way. But that resulted in dropping my chocolate bunny so I stopped.

My room wasn't the cleanest, but also not the dirtiest. I walked over to my radio and Pompeii by Bastille was in mid-song.

"And the walls kept tumbling down in the city that we loved..."

"Great clouds rolled over the hills bringing darkness from above..."

"Oh where do we begin? The rubble or our sins...."

"But if you close your eyes, does it almost feel like nothing changed at all?"

"Eh oh way eh oh eh oh way eh oh eh oh way eh oh..."

Thesongended and I turned the radio off. Enough of that.

I laid down on my bed in silence. Then I shut my eyes.

And over to the side (If you are on a desktop or laptop) You can see Emma Watson...who plays AnnaBeth! :D
